I came in with a semester's worth of credits from the AP courses and college classes I had taken in high school. I had also recently switched colleges right before school started so I entered my program as an exploratory student. For me, this meant I took similar courses to my peers in my Nutrition program but I did not have a Learning Community. At the time I did not know the value of this program but I am now feeling it. My peers had a Dietetics mentor and the benefit of a small student community and the assistance needed to create a good Linked In account. This was something I did not have and that may seem like small things but I entered college during 2020 at the height of Covid. I had all online classes for my first two years of college and while it was the best thing at the time, I felt so disconnected from my program and my peers and my chosen career path. My sophomore year, I had applied to my 5 year bachelors + masters program and was accepted.
I did my Masters in Legal Studies (MLS) part time and completed it in two years. It was fully online and at my own pace which was a great part of the experience. The teachers were also all very nice and helpful during difficult situations or times. They're very understanding that we have other things going on in our lives when I came to homework and studies. Only part I wasn't a huge fan of was that it was all pre-recorded and we didn't necessarily need any study materials to do the work. Very laid bag and simple classes so it wasn't a lot of new learning. Overall, great help in keeping me educated and useful for applying to law schools
In the immersive environment of the University of Cincinnati's MBA program, I delved into a transformative academic journey. My coursework seamlessly blended theoretical frameworks with real-world applications, challenging me to analyze complex business scenarios and devise innovative solutions. Engaging with a diverse cohort, I honed my collaborative and leadership skills, navigating dynamic team projects that mirrored the complexities of the corporate world. The program's emphasis on experiential learning exposed me to industry trends and allowed me to leverage cutting-edge technologies in strategic decision-making. Moreover, the mentorship from esteemed faculty members provided invaluable insights, fostering my professional growth. This academic expedition not only enriched my strategic thinking but also equipped me with the tools to navigate the evolving landscape of business.
