Mumford & Sons’ Ted Dwane Shares Post-Surgery Picture
Mumford & Sons’ bassist Ted Dwane is out of the hospital and thanked fans for their support following brain surgery to remove a blood clot last week.
The band posted a photo of Dwane on its website, showing him with a shaved head. “Bear with a sore head! Thanks so much for all the well wishing, it seems to be working! I’m home,” Dwane wrote in an accompanying message.
Mumford & Sons Behind the Scenes
On Friday, June 14th, the band announced that they would have to cancel their appearances at the Telluride festival, Kansas’ Cricket Wireless Amphitheater, and Bonnaroo, where they were replaced by Jack Johnson in a headlining slot. “[Ted] has been nothing short of heroic in how he has handled the whole ordeal, and now it has been medically proved that he does indeed have a brain,” they wrote in a Facebook post, showing they still had a sense of humor after this frightening ordeal.
As of now, the band still intends to perform later this month at Glastonbury, where they will headline alongside the Rolling Stones and Arctic Monkeys. They will then play London’s Olympic Park on July 6th, with the 80,000-capacity venue making this the biggest concert of their career.
