Marian Louisa Elmhirst, Lady Elmhirst (previously Ferguson; née Montagu Douglas Scott; 16 June 1908 – 11 December 1996) was the first daughter born to Lord Herbert Montagu Douglas Scott and Marie Edwards. She was the paternal grandmother of Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, and the maternal great-grandmother of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York.
She was a first cousin of Lady Alice Montagu-Douglas-Scott, who in 1935 married Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, and became the Duchess of Gloucester. She was an aunt-by-marriage of Queen Elizabeth II.
In 1927 she married 1ly Colonel Andrew Henry Ferguson, with issue two sons. He died in 1966.
In 1968 she married 2ly Sir Thomas Elmhirst and she became Lady Elmhirst. He died in 1982.
She died on 11 December 1996.
She was the grandmother of Sarah Margaret Ferguson who in 1986 married HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and became the Duchess of York. She was the great-grandmother of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York.
