When Mario and Olivia board the tram, they encounter Bobby a Bob-omb who has amnesia. Olivia invites Bobby to join them on their quest and he accepts.

Behind the tree is the 3rd Not-Bottomless Hole. The 4th Toad is a flopping fish that is in front of the stairs to the tram. This Toad is Sea Captain Toad, who is captain of his ship in Toad Town. The 4th Not-Bottomless Hole is in the front right corner to the left of the tram.

After Bobby sees the streamer, he runs to the left of the river bed to scout ahead. The end of the river is blocked by a large pile of rocks. The group decides to head up the mountain. There are two paths up the mountain, the one on the left uses the river bed, while the one on the right is blocked by some boats. There are three Origami Spinies in the left path. The 1st one is walking around in the middle, while the 2nd one jumps down from the left wall to attack Mario. The 3rd one is also in the middle of the path. There is also an Origami Paragoomba on the right wall.

The path continues into a dry lake bed with five Cheep Cheeps flopping around. There is an Origami Paragoomba on a wall immediately to the right, who will jump down at Mario. There is also an Origami Cheep Cheep in the lake bed. In the Origami Paragoomba battle, there is an Origami Koopa Troopa with a Magic Circle.

There is a set of stairs that lead up to above the lake. At the top of the stairs there is a can that holds the 5th Toad. There is also a sign that reads, " Master Oarsman's Relaxing Downriver Tours Boat Landing" To the right, there is another set of stairs that leads to a ledge that lets Mario view the Water Vellumental Shrine. There is also a sign that reads, " Sacred, Soaked Shrine of the Water Vellumental." Further along the path is a Water Vellumental Magic Circle. The rest of the path is blocked by a set of boats.

To the right there is a set of stairs that leads down. Here, there is a sign that reads, "Picturesque Prairie Tall Grass Plains." Underneath the stairs is a chest that contains the No.30 Collectible Treasure Fallen Leaves. Further along the path is a large area of tall grass. Using the Toad Radar you can find the hidden Toads in the tall grass. The 6th Toad is between the fence leading into the field, and the large wall to the left. In the bottom left corner there is a secret area with a 10 coin, along with a hole in the ground. This hole leads to an underground cave with the 7th Toad. This Toad gives Mario a Max Up Heart that increases Mario's heart by 5. At the end of the cave, to the right, there is a rock outcropping that can be knocked down, on top of an Origami Spiny.

This leads onto a path with the 5th Not-Bottomless Hole. The path continues back to an entrance that leads into the tall grass. The 8th Toad is a little to the left of the entrance. There is an Origami Shy Guy in the tall grass in between the path down to the cave, and the clearing at the beginning of the field. There is a 100 coin to the left of the Origami Shy Guy. There is also a 10 coin to the right of the Origami Shy Guy. There is a small clearing in the middle of the field. The 9th Toad is to immediate right of the clearing near the edge fence. There is a 2nd small clearing in front of the 1st one. To the right of the 2nd clearing there is a 10 coin. To the right of the 10 coin there is an Origami Shy Guy.

To the right of the Origami Shy Guy is another exit that leads to little area with a bench, table, and sign. The sign reads, "Friendship Plaza Please pick up your empty cans to facilitate maximum friendship. Behind the exit, in the grass, there is a 100 coin. In the upper right corner of the field, there is an Origami Shy Guy, along with a small clearing that consists of a small house and a sign. The sign reads, "Wayside Water Vellumental Shrine All offerings are appreciated. (Damp offerings preferred.) To the left of the small house there is a part of fence missing that lets Mario enter a secret area with the 2nd Question Block, which contains a Fire Flower. To the right of the small house is an exit. When Mario exits at this point, the party comes to realize that they have lost Bobby.

Bobby can be found in that one area in the front right corner of the field. He is sitting at the table with a Sombrero Guy.

Mario can continue onwards from the exit near the small house. Here, there is a Save Block, along with a path that leads to a bridge. There is a sign that reads, "Fall Bridge Danger: Jumping strictly prohibited." When Mario gets on the bridge, a Paper Macho Goomba attacks him. The Paper Macho Goomba ends up pushing Bobby off of the bridge. The Paper Macho Goomba goes to an area where Mario can fight it. There are also 2 trees in this area, with the 2nd back one containing the 10th Toad. There is also the 6th Not-Bottomless Hole, which contains a sign that reads, " ↑ Water Vellumental Shrine → Chestnut Valley." To the right is a gate that leads to Chestnut Valley. However, the gate is locked with King Olly tape. Continuing left, up the path, there is are two flights of stairs that lead up the mountain.

In between the two flights is a secret area that leads to a chest containing the No.31 Collectible Treasure Toad Tram.

There is another flight at the top of the 2nd flight of stairs. This leads to a bench, along with the 7th Not-Bottomless Hole. The Not-Bottomless Hole covers the Sensor Lab satellite office in Autumn Mountain. Inside, there is the 11th Toad. The Toad lets Mario use his "fax travel" system to travel to the other Sensor Labs.

On the path, to the left of the 2nd flight of stairs, there is the 8th and 9th Not-Bottomless Holes in the mountains side. There is also an Origami Paragoomba. The 8th Not-Bottomless Hole is slightly covered by a tree. There is also a Save Block and a sign that reads, "[Water Vellumental Shrine] Resting Place of the Lord of Liquids and Soaker Supreme."

Behind the Save Block, there is a small path up a hill to a green pipe. There is also the 10th Not-Bottomless Hole in the side of the wall. Behind the tree is a secret area that leads to a chest containing the No.32 Collectible Treasure Confetti Bag. There is a tree next to the pipe that drops the 12th Toad.

The pipe leads back to a cliff near the dried up lake. Here, there is the 13th Toad flying around the air. It is easiest to hit the Toad from the top of the pipe. There is also the 11th Not-Bottomless Hole. Mario can drop down from the ledge to reach the roof near the docks. Then, he can reach another ledge with the 14th Toad climbing on the wall, and the 15th Toad on a stack on cans. The 14th Toad runs away when Mario approaches, so Mario must reach him using the Magic Circle in the bush on the ledge. The 15th Toad also runs away from Mario.

There are two Origami Paragoombas in the area after the bridge, after Mario returns. To the left of the path, where the pipe is located, there are two Origami Spinies. The 2nd Origami Spiny drops a Mushroom. Past the Origami Spinies is the 3rd Question Block, which contains a 100-coin. To the left of the Question Block is the 12th Not-Bottomless Hole. To the right of the Question Block is the 13th Not-Bottomless Hole. The 14th Not-Bottomless Hole is in front of a tree to the left of the Question Block. The 16th Toad is taped to a cliff by King Olly tape. The Toad can only be accessed by knocking down a boulder above it. Mario must enter a cave behind the tree to reach the boulder.

The path continues toward the Water Vellumental Shrine. It leads Mario across a bridge with a Origami Cheep Cheeps jumping onto each segment of the bridge. In the middle of the bridge is a small island with a heart that restores 50 HP. There is also the 17th Toad as a fish, which is flopping around on the middle island.

To open the shrine, Mario needs to another person to stand on a switch. This causes Mario to need to find Bobby. Olivia suggest that Mario jumps off the bridge after Bobby.
