Welcome to Jefferson High School!

Dear Jefferson High School Parents and Students,

We are excited here at JHS for what the 2023-24 school year holds, and we are honored that you have made Jefferson High School and the Jefferson community your home.

One valuable lesson that we learned from the Covid years is that being present in school is crucial to teaching and learning as well as social and emotional growth. Parents and guardians, I urge you to continue making attendance at school a priority in your household. Students, you need to be at school to learn and grow and to be the best you can be emotionally and academically.

It is wonderful to see our campus filled with students participating in different camps, athletics, and academic events. These activities, in addition to our high standards and expectations in academics, are what make Jefferson High School such a special and welcoming place. We pride ourselves on excelling scholastically with a variety of Honors and AP courses, along with 25 pathways in various career and technical classrooms, while offering some outstanding extracurricular and co-curricular opportunities as ways in which our students can get involved. Our CTAE programs, Fine Arts, and Athletic programs continue to work hard and excel in their respective fields. We hope that all of our students can find a club, organization, or extracurricular activity in which they can be a part.

I encourage you to explore our website and learn more about the tradition and history that make the Jefferson City School System and Jefferson High School such a wonderful place to learn and work.

Our staff and faculty look forward to teaching and working with our students during the 2023-24 school year.

Sincerely,

Rob McFerrin
