Kid Congo appeared on "Old Punks" panel on John Mulaney's 'Everybody's in LA', plots Pink Monkey Birds summer tour

Punk legend Kid Congo Powers will be taking The Pink Monkey Birds on tour this summer in support of their new album That Delicious Vice. The tour hits Kingston, NY’s Tubby’s on August 14 and they’ll play a free show at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on August 18 with Lupo Citta as part of this year’s Summer Thunder series. All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, you may have seen Kid Congo on John Mulaney‘s Everybody’s in L.A. live talk show on Netflix in the “Old Punks” segment where Fred Armisen rounded up a bunch of L.A. punk legends for a fun, funny panel discussion that also included Minutemen/fIREHOSE members Mike Watt and George Hurley, Fear‘s Lee Ving, Exene & DJ Bonebrake of X, Penelope Houston of The Avengers, Germs drummer Don Bolles, Saccharine Trust’s Joe Baiza, the Plungers’ Trudie Arguelles-Barrett, and Johnny Ramone’s widow Linda Ramone. Topics included gobbing, “Who here is the most punk?” and “What’s the most punk food?” The segment hasn’t been put online but it’s in the 3rd episode, “Helicopters,” which also features a live performance by Joyce Manor.
