SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — An 18-year-old man riding a Kawasaki motorcycle died after a crash involving a Dodge Charger in Spotsylvania County on Sunday morning.

At 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, deputies with the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan near the intersection of Tidewater Trail and Briarwood Lane.

When deputies arrived, they found a Dodge Charger that turned off of Briarwood Lane to go north on Tidewater Trail when a Kawasaki motorcycle that was going south on Tidewater Trail hit the Charger.

The person riding the motorcycle, identified as 18-year-old Slade G. Miller of Spotsylvania County died at the scene of the crash, according to officials.

The 41-year-old driver of the Charger had minor injuries and stayed on scene with investigators.

Officials said the crash is being investigated by the sheriff’s office Accident Reconstruction Team to see if any additional factors contributed to the crash.
