9/6/2023 12:00:00 PM | Football

Carter-Finley Stadium will look and sound different this season, as the NC State Athletics' department made numerous updates and upgrades in a variety of areas during the offseason. These upgrades promise to make the Wolfpack gameday experience even more exciting for 2023.

Many of these updates came as a direct result of feedback from fans, who shared their concerns and suggestions in postgame fan experience surveys last season. This feedback proved crucial in planning for the upcoming season.

VISUAL & AUDIO UPGRADES
  • A brand new videoboard that is ready to go for kickoff. It is the one of the largest collegiate videoboards (43 feet tall and 166 feet wide) and will allow for a new graphic layout, statistics and experience for our fans. Learn more about the videoboard project.
  • A new concert-grade sound system allows fans to be connected to the game regardless of where they are located in the stadium. This coverage is inclusive of field and bowl coverage, sound connectivity in Raleighwood, the concourse and audio at gate entry points to the stadium as well as radio audio in most restrooms.
  • Concourse televisions were reinstalled. These televisions provide a clear view for fans seated directly under the Upper Deck and for those walking along the concourse.
  • Closed captioning was added for all video content, to improve accessibility for all fans.
FAN EXPERIENCE UPGRADES
  • A new digital stadium map was created. The Carter-Finley Stadium Map on Paranoid Fan will allow fans to plan their gameday by visualizing parking locations and stadium landmarks. Fans can also view concession menus to explore food and beverage options. All concession menus will clearly list allergy-friendly choices.
  • Additional concession options will be offered, including cheesesteaks, loaded mac & cheese, the addition of popcorn vending machines, and more!
  • The ALL-IN-1 pass is an easy way for season ticket holders to manage mobile tickets. ALL-IN-1 is a new feature that allows a season ticket holder to only download each seat once to their wallet instead of having to download tickets for each individual game.
  • Bathroom locations were improved by painting all restroom buildings, power washing and deep cleaning all locations, replacing toilet seats as well as the development of an improved custodial plan to ensure that toilet paper and paper towels are stocked by a bathroom attendant who can address any bathroom concerns in real time.
  • NC State's Band, "The Power Sound of the South," has moved to the North End Zone to enhance the gameday experience.
FACILITY UPGRADES

  • Parking lot lines were repainted in front of TowneBank Center and fresh parking lot signage was added
  • The Cardinal Lot adds a game day parking option for fans, located off Chapel Hill Road. Credit Card payments only.
  • Stadium handrails and bollards surrounding the stadium were painted.
