Nice grounds, Bali beds, snorkeling!
Way overdue review actually from August 2022 (TA wouldn’t let me go back that far). Lovely grounds, easy to get a Bali bed (a huge plus for us compared to the chair game at many all inclusives), food was good for an AI. I enjoyed the snorkeling right off the shore, again a big plus for an AI. Sargassum was minimal until our last day and then it was awful, so we were lucky all in all. Just a reality of the region. They were mostly able to keep it clean and then it overwhelmed any ability to clean. Rooms were dated but fine. We had a beachside suite where we could just walk out and that was nice.

Great Experience!
Spent 8 nights at EDSS Palms in building 14, which is to me the best building block on the property having only 3 rooms and a pool for just those rooms as well as being close to the beach, and really everything but the swimming beach. Check in was smooth and easy, our primarily butler Anna was attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We had been in 2021 and there was a lot of things that we didn't enjoy but it was shortly after the resort had fully reopened after COVID so wanted to try again - we were very satisfied. The grounds, as other have commented, are extremely well maintained. Our pool, as small as it was, was tended to at least twice a day. We had great service from staff even just in our own little pool from the nearby bar! The food was overall great. The lunch opportunities took us a while to figure out, but sitting on the patio behind Arricefes was the best for us with the buffet, traditional Mexican dishes made for you, pizza, burgers, hot dogs and ice cream all right there. Dinner choices we like were led by the Italian restaurant, the Pub, Klay Talay and then the Culinarium. Breakfast was best at Seaside Market for choices, but the sit down at Culinarium was also good. Arricefes was convenient but about half the choices of Seaside Market. Room service was spotty. Took almost 2 hours to get our lunch order one day that was supposed to be 40 minutes according to the app. We never had a problem getting a shuttle when we needed one. Beach was well kept, and even though the Sargassum season is upon us they kept up with it so the water, which is really shallow in the swimming area, was not overrun with seaweed. We didn't do much with entertainment so no comment there. We spent most of our pool time in the Quiet Pool, which was peaceful and relaxing, and again - bar service was great. Lomas did a great job with transfers both ways, and I would say unless you know you are departing at a prime time you only need to leave 3 hours before your flight as we moved quickly through the airport on a Sunday around noon. Our room was cleaned well daily, and we also had turndown service each night. We did have a few bugs, but we're in the jungle, and there is a gap under the door. We already miss our iguana friends Fred and Susie, and our neighbors during the week - one of which was able to retrieve a forgotten iPad and is sending back to me! Will go back again in the future for sure.

Wonderful Time!
We had to change our plans and did not originally book to stay at Seaside Palms, but at another resort, and were disappointed when we had to reschedule and could not stay at our original resort and had to move our stay to Seaside Palms. The feelings of misgiving from reading reviews and watching YouTube reviews were gone almost immediately upon our arrival. Seaside Palms may now be one of our favorite resorts we have been to (we typically stay at an all inclusive 1-2 times a year). In reading previous reviews, I can’t identify with the issues other travelers had, and we did not talk to anyone during our stay who had any negative feedback either. The resort is beautiful, covered in palm trees, flowers, etc. We saw the most wildlife we have ever seen at this resort – the monkey, coatis, iguanas, Patches the cat 😊 The beach is so well cared for, workers constantly working at removing the seaweed. From the pictures I had seen, I was not a fan of the breakers that were in the ocean, but once there, I appreciated them for blocking the waves and reducing seaweed. The water was very clear and shallow. Many people had floaties and we inherited some and enjoyed the time relaxing and floating in the water. Regarding food – we enjoyed all the places that we went – we had great food at each place. We did not go to all the restaurants, but our favorites were the Gourmet Pub and the Italian Restaurant. We loved eating lunch at La Sandwicherie - the food there was amazing and Alexander has the best smile! I was amazed at the different places where the homemade tortillas were made! The entertainment staff was probably one of the best teams we have experienced – Luis, Benjamin, Jesus, Luanna, Miriam and Maria (sorry if I missed someone) brought a lot of fun and energy to the activities. They took their time to talk to guests, remember our names and we really appreciated that. We appreciated the entertainment at night starting early (we can never make shows that start at 10:00) and our favorite was the band Cherry Lovers (hopefully I got that name right). We stayed in the Premium building on the 6th floor. We had a lovely view and no complaints regarding the room – clean and good temperature. Two things I would like to mention for management that we did not like is that constant selling for the spa, it is very uncomfortable to be constantly approached. And the buffet at the Palms side for breakfast Is not restocked/refilled very well (we did not eat buffet for lunch). We went at various times in the morning and were disappointed each day. We don’t typically go back to a resort as we like to try different places, but we would return to Seaside Palms – we had a great time!

Beautiful resort, friendly staff Benjamin Louis and Jesus are fantastic entertainment staff especially with Volleyball. So many activities and things to do. Take advantage of the more inclusive- the catamaran and snorkel were so fun. So many beds and great place to chill out. Shout out to our concierge Ana, Ava, and I forget the third. They were all so amazing! Thanks for making this vacation excellente!
