I'll go first:Adriana Lima. it's not that I don't find her pretty because I very much do but it gets to a point where I see someone so often that it kinda breaks that initial stunned feeling.
I think Adriana is super pretty but she has sooooo many “objective failos” that I’m surprised this sub worships her as like, the peak of beauty lol.
Yeah and then a girl with less failos than Adriana gets rated a 5 (not saying Adriana is a 5 btw) just because that girl happens to be on social media 💀💀 I think some of the high ratings on here have to do with everyone thinking that existing before the 2000s is a halo
RIGHT, like people will automatically rate any pretty woman from the 1950s or earlier an 8. and im like… are you thinking of them objectively? in a modern photo, they’d rate many of the same old time actresses 6 or lower
I think people just like old timey styling and styling affects their ratings a lot, like way too much. They'd underrate objectively stunning women for having alt or goth styling too.
I think it's a middle ground y'know? Like people dock points for it being more recent but up points for it being older. If a woman from the 50's gets called an 8 but the same woman present time gets called a 6, she's probably a 7. I get people think social media is fake plastic surgery blah blah blah but objectively there are very attractive girls presently.
Exactly. She even comes across as an unconventional beauty to me at times. Undeniably striking and captivating, yet some jarring flaws not quite giving her the classic beauty of someone like Bellucci. I find both overrated and prefer Lima, but Lima is definitely more polarising. Even her eyes can come across as masculine to some people. And her lips, while full, aren't supported well by her teeth and also look weird at times, especially when compared to someone who doesn't have that flaw. Adriana has a very specific look that isn't as universally appealing as Bellucci or Aishwarya Rai (who I prefer to both).
The only “falios” Adriana really has is her teeth but that doesn’t even take away from her beauty.
Her nose does not harmonize well imo. Her mouth in general can look a little frog-in-mouth ish lol. I still think she is insanely beautiful but not as objectively beautiful as this sub thinks.
Her chin is too weak as well, even if not medically recessed. It isn't pretty. She barely passes the recession test, i.e her chin is level with her nasion. Ideally, it should be ahead of it.

Her teeth are beautiful imo, so much better than those unnatural looking veneers everyone is getting these days. It's giving uncanny valley for some, and their original teeth usually aren't even bad.

Facial harmony and how features work together is more important than individual features, that’s how objective beauty works.

There is a reason Adriana doesn’t smile in most photos. She doesn’t have a great or stunning smile and it actually highlights some issues like her recessed chin.

Zendaya. I like her personality, her figure, and the movies she's been in, but I think there's something I don't see that others may when it comes to calling her very beautiful.
Yeah never really got it either. Maybe it's the kinda more normalish look that's appealing? Because her without makeup or less done up (like in dune for example or most of euphoria) I could imagine seeing her walking in my school.

I think Zendaya looks accessible, she makes more average looking women feel like they can look like her if they style themselves well enough. She is still a pretty girl but she’s like a 7 to me? Never thought of her as especially beautiful though

yup, 1000%. his jaw looks boxy especially nowadays because it’s just from masseter teeth grinding, and he has low trust features while also looking kinda feminine.
Yeah, that's a perfect description! I love a strong jaw, but it needs to be perfectly sculpted and not exaggerated. Otherwise, it makes the person look like as if their surgeon opened their faces to botox their soul. His jaw is ridiculously extravagant and feminine at the same time. It freaks me out.

I guess my mind finds women prettier when they have some distinctive feature that makes them stand out. For example, I think Miranda Kerr’s baby face/dimples make her look really gorgeous, I like Megan Fox’s (and Adriana Lima’s) coloring a lot, whenever I think of Anne Hathaway I think about her big downturned eyes and how pretty they look on her, I see photos of young Brooke Shields and I love her thick eyebrows. Even with celebrities that could be considered (objectively) less attractive than Monica, if I find a feature that makes them look more unique in my eyes then I just prefer their faces more, some examples would be Taylor Swift and her heart-shaped lips, or Natalie Dormer and her smirk.
I see Monica’s features and I just see nothing that stands out. Her eye shape, her eyebrows, her nose, her lips. NONE of her facial features are ugly, but they genuinely don’t seem unique to me either. It’s almost like a computer generated beauty, a rare beautiful face that would considered beautiful in basically every context and situation precisely because of how non-unique and inoffensive the facial features are. Idk.
I used to agree about Monica Belucci being overrated, and then my friend forced me to watch the Sorcerer's Apprentice for the first time. Seeing her in motion really made me appreciate how pretty she actually is, like I was in shock.
Exactly! It's like she's perfect, she has no flaws but also there's nothing unique about her face, everything is right, but there are other women's that I find prettier than her because they have something different or a characteristic that would instantly make me remember her because of it. I agree that she is beautiful, but for me the amount of references about her in this sub is just overwhelming. Ask anyone in real life who they think is the prettier woman in the world and I have sure that Monica wouldn't be so mentioned as she is here

basically any classic hollywood actress, particularly marilyn monroe. she’s obviously pretty, but i think a lot of people just rate her higher for two main reasons: because she’s such an icon and because of her body (naturally curvy + big boobs). in reality, she wasn’t exceptionally attractive, especially not in the 8-10 range. i personally would rate her a 6.5, maybe 7.5 when she’s glammed up

Nobody on this sub fawns over her. Some agree that she has a nice body and maybe some sex appeal, but everyone agrees that her face is average. I've never seen anyone rate her an 8+ at least in recent times. Maybe it was different a year ago or something.

But sex appeal isn’t the same as having a hot body. That’s what people always get confused about and it annoys me.
It kind of is though, in part. Yes you can have sex appeal without a hot body but having a hot body gives most people some sex appeal by default
1000% disagree. Women who actively wear low cut, tiny dresses and have hot bodies don’t automatically have sex appeal. In fact, most people would be turned away from that and label it as “too much”.
There are many celebrities (including men) who even fit the bill of having a hot body, but zero sex appeal.
Having a hot bod doesn’t mean “some sex appeal by default”. Sex appeal comes from demeanor and magnetism. It’s an intangible characteristic that attracts people. Not the same as simply a sexy body.
Every time a post like this comes up you guys say the most obviously beautiful women are overrated. Just because you see these women often doesn’t take away from their beauty. Idk but it seems more like jealously to me in a way.
Overrated is when something or someone is highly rated but for not a good reason
Women like Adriana, Monica, Angelina, Megan and Aish are rated extremely high because their pinnacle beauty. Not some average joe.
Also those women are not posted on here all the time. There might have been a time that they were but not anymore. They’re just the ones that get the most attention.

They unfortunately (like you said) don’t get the most attention which is why people on here tend to post the common beauties instead.
Some fresh faces tend to get a lot of attraction especially beauties from older generations.
