Rocky River High School Reviews
Rating 3.54 out of 5 140 reviews
During my sophomore year, I joined the school’s drama club. I was initially hesitant because I didn’t have much experience acting, but I wanted to try something new. As we rehearsed for the school play, I found myself growing more confident and making new friends with similar interests. The experience of performing on stage in front of an audience was nerve-wracking but exhilarating. It taught me the importance of teamwork, dedication, and stepping out of my comfort zone. Plus, the memories and friendships I made during those rehearsals will always be cherished.
I think Rocky River truly needs more parent and teacher involvement. The school at least when I went there had very little teacher involvement. I quite literally had a teacher tell my class that she would never use a sick day because she was saving her days to retire faster. There are very few teachers that actually care about their students and preparing them for after high school.
My overall experience with Rocky River started out very rocky and it was not good I didn't like anything about the school or the people; but the teachers made sure I felt comfortable. Even teachers that didn't have me as a student. I'm beginning to enjoy going to Rocky River even though its my last year. The guidance counselor left for a better job and I actually miss him working for us but have to let go of some things. He was one of the people that helped me get out of my shell at Rocky. Everything is fine with Rocky River except for this one BMT she is very irritating ; the first time she met me she was all in my face literally! She's always bugging somebody but I can tell she means well even thought she bugs the mess out of me. But thats my experience at Rocky River for you the good and bad. Thought I do think we could use for teachers like Dr.Jones , Mrs. Keuick and Mr. Joyner for out academics and laughs because they can handle and do both teaching and engaging.
