Great, location is brilliant for a family. Mobile homes were fine, heated pool was great for the kids. Pity about the evening entertainment. Great for a week of sunshine/pool/beach and relax. If you want entertainment go to a site like La Sirene but be prepared to be based out of town.

I wouldn't go for my main holiday as I like the evening shows but for a week of sun I'll go back.

The only reason i'm marking it down is because of the entertainment.

The campsite is pretty and the park is great for kids. The caravan was dated and shabby, but had a fantastic view. Biggest negative was Eurocamp gave us a caravan that didnt really meet our needs. One bedroom had children's bunks which were very short, and a sort of camp bed which was also short. The mattresses were very thin and hard. As we were a family of three adults and one small child this wasn't ideal. When we arrived we were given no information as to what was around the area, facilities etc (didnt even give us the key to the caravan) so we had to track it down. The entire week we were there the bar was closed so we had nothing to do on an evening which was not ideal. When you have a small child who wants to go dancing etc so paying full price when facilities are unavailable seems a con. The site is in the process of being upgraded so it will probably be 5 star one day however it isn't yet. Staff were quite helpful although they could offer you a lift in the karts when struggling with a disability and luggage/shopping as we were at the far end of the campsite and my disabled daughter struggled to walk it. A shuttle of some sort would be a good idea for people who go to the intermarche even at a slight charge. The pool could do with being heated as it isn't the warmest but other than that the pool is good. I'd recommend taking the land train in Collioure through the vineyards and there's a nice shop called Lily's in Argeles sur mer that serves really nice slush puppies and huge churros and ice cream for a good price there's also a fun fair nearby and a fun park right outside La Chapelle with rides and bouncy castles which is great for kids.

This is our second visit to La Chapelle, so I'll start with the bad part. We booked in a Vista 3 bedroom. We were told on check in that we had been placed in one of the new chalets (610) and to our surprise this was a lot smaller than we booked on our previous visit. We were told that we couldn't move as the park was full. The accommodation was so tight, it was single file around the bed and tables and you had to choose specific area's to get changed in. The space around the beds were so tight you couldn't get your case around it.

The Eurocamp staff were very apologetic and were as helpful on all other matters that came up.

The camp itself was great. Amazing swimming pool with lots of fun had although the pool turned to ice when the weather changed, I think they may have forgotten to put the heating on after the heatwave. The waterslides = 5 stars. The pool bar = 5 stars. The evening entertainment was great fun for kids and the adults too. Not suitable for older teenagers.

You cannot beat the entertainment teams in France, for me it's what makes it stand out against other European locations. Fun around the pool, singing and dancing in the evening, and also keeping the camp fit with classes!

Great place, great holiday and great fun!

Dear James, Welcome back to La Chapelle! We're thrilled to see you again, but sorry to hear your experience with your accomodation wasn't what you'd hoped it to be. On the brighter side, we're delighted you had a splashing good time in the swimming pool. Our entertainment is quite something, they do keep the campsite's spirits high. We're glad you had a great holiday filled with fun. We look forward to welcoming you back for more great times! Best regards, L'équipe de La Chapelle

We stayed for the last 2 weeks in August with our 3 children aged 5, 8 and 10. Cannot recommend highly enough! It was our most favourite family holiday. We booked with euro camp and had a cabin on the edge of the park over looking a field then the mountains from our deck which was perfect to enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
We didn't use the kids club so cannot comment on that but we enjoyed the nightly entertainment put on by the small team in the Budda Bar.
The kids loved the playground and enjoyed having the freedom to go play on their own as we felt safe to let them do so.
The pools were great and we enjoyed the daily aqua fit and the watersides.
We used the onsite bakery for delicious fresh baguettes and croissants everyday and we're able to walk to the intermarche just outside of the park for other groceries.
The location of the park is a definite high point being a short stroll to the shops and restaurants of Argeles.
The beach is nice the sand is quite grainy but still able to build sand castles and walk comfortably without shoes.
Argeles-sur-mer itself is a busy holiday town. We had read other reviews comparing it to Blackpool - please pay no attention their is absolutely no comparison! We enjoyed the street entertainers and the night firework display on the beach. There's a lovely stroll along the promenade to the marina where we found wonderful night markets.
We travelled by car so we're able to have a couple of day trips to Costa brava.
We were there for the last 2 weeks of the season and the only down side would be that the first week we were there it was very busy so we were not always able to get sun beds by the pool but this did not bother us and when we waited in the pool a bed did eventually become available. One of the beds in the cabin was broken but euro camp fixed it as soon as we asked.
All in all this was an amazing family holiday with lots to do but also we were able to fully relax! Hope to return again soon!

Since my twelve year old grandson was a one year old we have located at Camping La Chapel despite experiencing varying levels of chalet quality. Whilst the internal standards are usually very good to excellent there have been times when the external presentation and standard of maintenance was not good.Staff are there when a crisis arises but not necessarily when needed. The means of communication - leaving a note in their staff cabin-doesn’t fill one with confidence as the number of staff on site seems under resourced given the number of holiday makers on site. Otherwise the site proved an excellent base from which to explore Argelais, Colliour and wider afield. Bus services are infrequent and shopping locally can be expensive and limited. A car facilitates wider exploration of the huge number of attractions throughout the region. We hire from the U.K. and pick up the vehicle at Perpignan airport. The only flights are operated by Ryan Air and we have yet to experience a comfortable flight. That said, on most occasions the company was effective and efficient. Aregelais sur mer is full of life, fun and laughter. Excellent restaurants to suit every pocket, fantastic wines, shopping, a high quality craft and art market and, as well as road access to Colliour, a absolute must as it is a beautiful village on the coast where there are artists galore whose works are for sale. Explore the back streets where open studios are everywhere. Again, wonderful restaurants selling exquisite dishes accompanied by great local wine for every purse. We will continue to visit because it is worth it. There is always something new to discover.

Stayed here for 11 nights in a Homair premium lounge. First off, the mobile home was lovely. Air con worked and was definitely required for the time of year. Decking area was huge and we got great use out of it in the evenings. The pool area of the campsite is quite good, but can get VERY busy with the amount of pitches in the campsite. Slides quiet down from 6-7 in the evening, so best time to go. The campsite has a small boulangerie which was fantastic, but they could do with a larger shop on-site. The evening entertainment was good, though the prices at the bar were high and getting a seat was very hard. Overall the campsite was very clean. The main selling point of the campsite is the location. Walking distance to the beach and to the markets. Also a good few bars and restaurants very nearby and an intermarche just a few minutes walk away.

Great location, a couple of minutes walk from beach and loads of bars and restaurants.
Pool too small for the number of people, you literally had to stand in the pool as no room to move!
You have to queue at 9.45am each morning to get a sunbed.
They play a "waltz tune" you have to go back to your sunbed and any sunbeds with no towels on them get their stuff removed. Whilst this is a good idea on a Saturday the pool bar doesn't open until 3pm and you are not allowed to bring your own, 9.45am - 3pm is a long time without a drink in 38 degree heat!
Loved the location but definitely too many people around the pool, apparently they have added loads more caravan, made the pitches smaller but not increased the facilities. Shame really.

After reading mixed reviews about this site I was a bit nervous about going here. I shouldn't have worried, it was excellent. The facilities on site are brilliant, the pool area is fantastic. The entertainment at the pool during the day and at the buddha bar at night was great, plenty to keep everyone happy. The site is right beside a supermarket and plenty of shops and restaurants and only a few minutes from the beach. The only one thing I would say about the site is the toilets at the pool are awful and need to be looked after better or refurbished even. Apart from that I couldn't fault La Chapelle and I will definitely be returning.

I stayed here for a week with my family and while it was nice there were some things that annoyed me. To start, the staff were unhelpful to the point of being rude. When we tried to check out, one staff member angrily shouted at us three times that only one member per family was allowed into the office. Secondly, when we asked if we could leave our bags somewhere for a few hours, they very reluctantly agreed. We explained we would come to pick them up at about 1 pm. When we came back, there is one staff member rushing us so they could go on their lunch break and close the entire office. When we enquired about a bus to Perpignan, we were sent to the tourist office, which was closed for lunch (for three hours). This rude behaviour soured what was otherwise a nice trip.
The other unfortunate thing was the takeaway shop which one-night point blank refused to make anything for us. This was at maybe 8.15 pm.
The pool was excellent, although there was a shortage of chairs available. The bathrooms next to the pool were awful however, I would suggest avoiding them, one day there was sh*t on the floor of the ladies.
The location is ideal if you don't want a car. It was maybe a four-minute walk to the beach and there was a multitude of restaurants to choose from. I would warn that the information surrounding buses and trains is difficult to obtain.
This holiday park has the potential to be brilliant however unless they improve their attitude towards guests, I would not recommend it.

Just back from a week here, loved it!

We were in a eurocamp 3 bedroom aspect.

Pros:
Large
Clean
Deck amazing
Quiet

Cons:
The BBQ, it felt like it could fall apart at any moment! Very cheap BBQ.

And the park

Pros:
Clean
Good but basic shop onsite
Kids camps were good
Nighttime entertainment was fun

Cons:
The pool. Too small for the size of the actual camp. very overcrowded at any given time. To get a sun lounger you had to be there at 9.45am for it's opening @10am.

Overall we had a great time and would recommend it!
