Paradise, Nevada is an unincorporated township located in Clark County, Nevada. It is situated just south of the city of Las Vegas and is home to the famous Las Vegas Strip. The township was established in 1950 and was named after the Paradise Valley, which is located in the area.
The history of Paradise dates back to the early 1900s when the area was primarily used for ranching and farming. In the 1930s, the construction of the Hoover Dam brought an influx of workers to the area, which led to the development of small businesses and services. However, it wasn’t until the 1950s that the township began to experience significant growth.
During this time, the construction of the Las Vegas Strip began, and many of the casinos and resorts that are now iconic landmarks in the area were built. The opening of the Flamingo Hotel in 1946 marked the beginning of the tourism boom in Paradise, and the township quickly became a popular destination for visitors from all over the world.
The Las Vegas Strip is not an official location but rather a nickname for a 4.2 mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard it is a popular tourist destination and is considered to be part of the larger Las Vegas metropolitan area, so it is commonly referred to as “Las Vegas” even though it technically lies within the town of Paradise and Winchester, Nevada
The strip location in Paradise Nevada is from Russell Road to south of Desert Inn Road, North of Desert Inn Road to Sahara Avenue is the town of Winchester, North of Sahara Avenue is the city of Las Vegas. *Desert Inn Road is a unique road on the Las Vegas Strip as it runs beneath the bustling entertainment district. To access the road going eastbound, visitors must pass through the Encore hotel main entrance on the way back to Las Vegas blvd you see a sign on the left side that directs you to Desert Inn East
