If you follow Salma Hayek on Instagram, you know that the Oscar-nominated actress isn’t afraid to show some skin. In fact, her care-free, body positive attitude on social media is beyond inspiring, and totally envy-worthy.
Talking to Entertainment Tonight recently, Hayek opened up about her bikini-loving social media presence and dished on the secret to her “fountain of youth.” When asked about her secret to staying to young, Hayek said it’s all about “meditation.”
“I really believe it is,” she said. “People say it’s exercising. I think it’s meditation.” Hayek then continued, adding that exercising has never been her way to staying young and active. “For me, exercising is hard… It’s really, really difficult to have the discipline to do it. But meditation is a walk in the park, because it’s my own form of it.”
For anyone scratching their heads as to what the actress means by meditation, don’t fret, she said any “moment with yourself” already counts. “But do I do it every day? I don’t, but when I don’t do it, oh my god you see a big difference,” she added.
Prior to the interview, Hayek was on a streak this summer of gorgeous bikini-clad looks. Earlier this month, for example, she celebrated her 57th birthday with series of pictures of her sporting a sun hat, sunnies, and a red string two-piece with white trim.
“I’m so happy to be alive and so profoundly grateful for all the blessings,” the caption to her birthday post began. “My beloved family, my precious friends, my health, my work that keeps me going, my empowering team, my relationship with animals & nature, and the love of all my loyal fans. Happy 57th birthday to me!!!”
And though it may no longer be her birthday today, we’re always wishing for the best for Hayek, and for some more bikini pics too. May we all be able to meditate and stay young just like her!
