4.1. Costume

The school uniform is red, commonly called red bean porridge color. Until a few years ago, winter uniform vests were also red, but they were changed to black. For detailed information on the history of school uniforms, please refer to the Cheongpodo History Museum on the 5th floor of the main building.

It is said that when you first enter the school, everyone is shocked by the length and color, but as you go, you quickly get used to it.

It is said that several people tried to change it, but failed due to strong opposition from the alumni association...

9. incident accident

  • In 2011, the personal information of three regular students on the basketball team was stolen without permission and registered with the Korea Sports Council without their consent. It is believed that this was done to secure players that the school lacked. #

10. etc

  • It was designated as a subject-focused school that provides customized education in Japanese, a second foreign language, and has been implemented since 2017.
  • Saturday self-study is only conducted by second and third graders because applications from first graders are so low. Saturday self-study runs every week by default, but there are exceptions. In addition to self-study on Sundays, it is not operated during the summer and winter breaks, throughout February, and during the week of midterm and final exams.
  • Sunday self-study is usually held every other week, because Sunday classes at the attached Opening and Communication High School are held every other week.
So, Sunday self-study is not held even though it is originally scheduled to be held on days when Bangtong High School goes on field trips or when Sundays are not open every few months.
  • As palm trees have become autonomous, only students who have applied can palm trees on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Cheongpodo Library. The 2nd floor is a non-reserved seat for students who apply for 3 days or less per week, and the 3rd floor is a reserved seat for students who apply for 4 days or more. All grades end at 10 o'clock.
  • The generation that entered school in 2014 is the generation that never went to retreats or field trips. In 2014, the retreat scheduled for April was postponed to just before summer vacation due to a schedule change, but was canceled due to the Sewol Ferry disaster , and the same goes for 2015. And from 2016, retreats and field trips were resumed, and high school seniors who found out about this cursed at the school quite a lot.
  • The grape vines growing in front of the green grape gym actually grow red grapes, not green grapes.
  • In the past, discipline within the student council was very severe, but since the coronavirus outbreak, the culture of discipline has faded away.
