Fun place to enjoy a dawg!

Great service, fun atmosphere, big dawgs, crispy tots, and other unique eats! Tried the classic chili dawg and it was delicious. Son tried the Gator Sausage Dawg and not a thing survived. They even serve your four legged friends! Libations available, too!

I ordered the mighty duck awesome so many different flavors on this in particular dawg duck sausage carmelized onions blueberry sauce etc. Overall awesome dawg

Dawgonne Good Lunch

We took out 5 different items for lunch: zen burger, junkyard dog, Chuck Norris dawg, morning dawg, and boudin melt. It's a small kitchen serving great food.there is outdoor seating and a large dining area inside...all with dog motif. You can even bring your dog. Zen is a great dane in residence. The owner is hands on and has a kitchen presence. We would return and try another dawg...many to choose from.

Unique, cozy little place with wide variety of specialty hot dogs on their menu. Eclectic closed in eating area with whimsical decor. Friendly owners. Beer and now frozen margaritas available.

Great little place for hot dog lovers. Wonderful food and personable staff. Even met the owner and found out the history of the place, very nice lady. Family and dog friendly.

Corn Dog

I have found it impossible to get a decent corn dog in Baton Rouge since the stand at Mall of Louisiana closed. My Gold Standard for corn dogs are the ones at Richwine’s in Polson,Montana. Then it dawned on me. Maybe they have corn dogs at Frankie’s Dawg House. And they do. The hardest thing about Frankie’s is finding a place to park. Not much available. But the effort is worth it. I ordered the Zen Pups, two corn dogs. Just right for my wife and I. It took awhile to get them, nut when they came they were good. Not as good as the ones at Richwines, but close. And just as good as the ones we used to get at the Mall. And much better than Sonic’s. I don’t know of anywhere else in Baton Rouge that serves them. Until I find a place that serves good ones, the Zen Pups will do.

Not gourmet but good. Interesting selection of dogs, sausages too. No parking, not much seating. If you like fancy hot dogs this is your place.

We tried out Frankie’s for the first time today and all I can say is mmmm, mmmmmmmmmm! Well that’s not ALL I’ll say, LOL! My daughter and I split the Situation Dog. This is a hotdog covered in Mac and cheese and bacon. It was amazing! My other daughter got the Zen dogs (2 corn dogs) and she devoured them. My husband got the Chuck Norris and loved every bite. Our friends ordered several of the melts, the pulled pork and the boudin one. And both said they were delicious. Service was fast and food was hot. The lady who (I think) owns it, Mrs Peggy, was super nice and spent time chatting when she brought our food out. All in all we will definitely visit this restaurant again!

Two people got sick

Me and I co worker went to pick up food for an office birthday. The hot dogs were good and I did eat all mine. The next day me and a coworker had to go home sick. It was bad.Took a full day to recover. The place is cute and I like the idea, but I wont be going back.

Just Average Gator with No Bite!

I like the place. I didn't like the older man that has interest in the place keep giving me the once over. Not sure what that was all about. Got the Gator Sausage per their recommendation. It was ok... (Had a lot of grissel bits in it) Looking for more, meaning taste. It was boring, sausage with onions and jalapenos. How about a special condiment? Cajun condiment? How about any condiment? I found some mustard, but come on... Make this $9 dog special!! I have eaten at a lot of "hot dog" type places. This was not the best, especially in Louisiana.

Delicious Hotdogs!

My family and I decided to check out this place out! It was delicious hotdogs. I thought they was slightly overpriced. Although I have to say the owner was super nice. Going around talking to all the people eating there.

I commonly eat lunch there once or twice a month, occasionally more often. Tiny area to sit on stools inside, much larger area outside under multiple ceiling and floor fans. Service provided by the owner; one to two cooks on duty for lunchtime. Expect paper plates and plastic flatware. Place is clean, hot dogs are excellent.
