The Protectors

When Minister for Defence, Henrik Skelbaek, arrives in Baghdad to celebrate the New Year with the Danish military forces, PET police provides him protection (the Secret Service) and yet the ministers visit proves fateful. At the same time a group of young, hopeful, police officers gather for the annual admission tests at the protection school in Copenhagen. Throughout three raw January weeks they are exposed to a series of physical and psychological trials that only a minority will pass. (To be continued)

(Continued from episode 1) Catic, an ex-Jugoslav and former professional soldier, is desperate for revenge after his only son, Ibro, was killed protecting Danish Defence Minister Henrik Skelbaek during a stay in Bagdad. PET (the Secret Service) neither knows where Catic is hiding nor his plans. As Skelbaek is to attend the funeral of another soldier killed in Afghanistan the security around him is increased including Jasmina, Rasmus and Jonas protection officers still in training.

As the Prime Minister makes a very controversial change in government Leon, head of PET (Secret Service), decides to give the new minister maximum protection. The appointment triggers an extremist group to declare that the time has come for a dramatic confrontation with the government on its immigration policy. Stepping into the public eye is not without personal costs for the new minister and her family, and the question is whether PET has chosen the right persons for protection? (To be continued...)
