The entrees are all very good. The salad bar is the best. We were a large group and they handled us very well. Always a good time there. The scenery cannot be beat.

Went at 7pm on a Thursday night. Plenty of open tables, beautiful views. Gin and tonic was good, the beer selection appealed to everyone. Salad bar was FRESH and well stocked and tended to despite comparatively few customers than usual (I’ve seen this place full). Good food, traditional scope. I’ve been before and will return again.

Started dinner with warm bread and maple butter which was awesome. Great salad bar with lots of choices. I had the creamy shrimp scampi which was absolutely delicious and my husband had the pork chops with apples which he enjoyed thoroughly. Portion size was perfect. I saved room for the maple walnut ice cream which was creamy and crunchy. It was a great evening and it will definitely not be the last time we eat here.

Very load place (Thus the name for restaurant - Publyk House). It was dinner time though….server was wonderful, and food was good and hot. I saw someone conniving for a free piece of roast beef after he already ate the cut he received and then complained. The restaurant gave him a bigger cut to take home. This person gloated about how he got this for free till he left.

Lobster Mac and Cheese; salad bar excellent!! My friend had the salmon which also was delicious! Service was excellent also. Beautiful views. Will definitely be back. We’re from Rensselaer and Albany.

Great service, very welcoming/ friendly vibe, immaculate salad bar, good draft beer selection. Not the fanciest place, but solidly good and you won’t be disappointed. We have gone there before and we’ll go again.

Nice ambience and fun bar, but pasta was mediocre. Meager amount of vegetables and shrimp seemed boiled not grilled as described on menu. Salad bar was pretty good with lots of selections. Good wine choices and friendly service.

I would not recommend this place for the price, especially not with the other restaurants around. The food was alright, but not the best and many people in our party were unsatisfied with their meals. The maple butter that came with the bread at the beginning of our meal seemed to be the best thing we received.

our meals were as good as I remember it has been years since I have been back in the area. The salad bar was great, the warm bread was excellent, I had the stuffed chicken that was very goo. the steak was cooked to perfection

Overall, a nice dinner on what was a very busy night for them (eclipse weekend). The salad bar is good and a nice throwback touch. The dinners were good, not exceptional. But, we will go back because it is a nice location and has a fun vibe. And, I would like to try their outdoor deck.

I order the NY strip steak, medium. came out rare. sent it back, came back medium but was very tough and not very flavorful. surprisingly poor quality beef, usually restaurants have higher quality than grocery stores. Not this one, sent it back. The waiter took it off the bill, but now it was too late to order another dinner.

We made a reservation for 6 and we were sat in the last room at a beautiful large round table. The atmosphere was beautiful. The room was all windows where we could see the sunset over the mountains. We had two children in our group and we were very happy with the children’s accommodations. They had a good kids menu and provided paper and crayons. The high chair was spotless which is very rare even at nice restaurants. The kids meals came with a drink and ice cream for dessert. Our entrees came with a salad bar which was outstanding. Everything was fresh and they had staff attending the salad bar to make sure it was stocked and clean. We had the baked Brie and artichoke dip appetizers and they were delicious. I had a pork osso bucco special which in my opinion could have been a little more tender but the flavor and sides were excellent. Everyone else also very much enjoyed their meals. The ONLY complaint I would have is there was a very strong marijuana smell. It smelled as if someone was smoking in the room with us. This could have been someone smoking right outside or in the kitchen or even a patron vaping and hiding it so I can’t definitely fault the restaurant. Just something that’s not ideal while dining with my young children, but like I said not necessarily the restaurants fault.

As always everything and everyone was amazing, delicious, relaxed, friendly, caring, kind. We love it here! From the moment we walked in the door till we left it was just what we needed. We had a very good experience, most certainly the best dining we’ve had in Bennington. The views are spectacular. The food options, price point and physical layout accommodates every category of diner with a truly welcoming casual vibe. We live an hour away and we’re driving through town and got lucky, but we will most definitely return next time we are in town.

Call this restauarant first. They didn't have our Open Table reservation. We especially enjoyed the Open Mike Friday nights, although we were unaware of this offering. As a place to hang-out it was fine, but the food was only adequate.
