referencing The Vivacious One (LP, Stereo) LSP-2551
I picked up three of Ann-Margret's Lps on a junking run. Oops. This stuff is "youth" music produced by everyone in the recording and marketing process who're approaching age 40 (circa 1962 at the time), thinking that Las Vegas skin shows' bump & grind acting and faux arousal suggestive kittenish vocalizing makes great music. This is a for-(over 30 aging out)-male audience only. Embarrassing '40s big band pop aping being rock 'n roll with 20 something girl singer who can't sing "acting" her way through the songs. The kind of "rock" music sound you might get in one of those Dean Martin MATT HELM spy spoofs.
