As summer sunshine warms Milledgeville, the town bursts to life with a vibrant calendar of events. Whether you are indulging in local cuisine, enjoying time with the family on the water, or exploring Milledgeville’s history, this summer offers something for everyone. May Signature Events
Friday, May 17th - Saturday, May 25th: Milledgeville Burger Week
Over 10 eateries in Milledgeville will each be offering an off-menu, mouthwatering special $9 burger à la carte during Burger Week 2024, May 17th- May 25th. The restaurants will offer one flavor-packed, specialty burger during the week for only $9 hoping to earn the title of the Milledgeville People’s Choice Award Winner! Burgers will be available during regular lunch and dinner hours during Burger Week.
Saturday, May 18th: Day of Play at Georgia's Old Governor's Mansion
Ready, set, go! Come on out to the Day of Play at Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion for an afternoon of fun with outdoor games, arts and crafts, sweet treats, and more for the whole family. The pre-registration fee for a household is $20. The day of fee for a household is $25.
Saturday, May 18th: Kids Fishing Event
Grab the kids and head to Lockerly Arboretum on Saturday, May 18th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for their Kids Fishing Event. Lockerly provides hotdogs for bait, but you can bring worms if you prefer. Bring your own rods, reels, tackle, stringer, or bucket. Take home up to 5 fish per child! Intended for children ages 16 and under. There must be one adult per two children.
Friday, May 24th: Full Moon Float
Mark your calendars for Oconee Outfitter's popular nighttime kayak event! Experience kayaking the Oconee River by the light of the full moon on Friday, May 24th at 8:30 p.m. Attendees have the opportunity to rent equipment or bring their own. Find out more at the registration link.
Saturday, May 25th: Family Paddle
Pack the snacks and sunscreen, grab the kids, and join Oconee Outfitters for a fun afternoon on the water! The Greenway to Central State Boat ramp provides several sandbars, loads of wildlife to observe, and a gentle path, perfect for young or new paddlers. Saturday, May 25th- Monday, May,27th: Memorial Day Weekend
Spend the long holiday weekend among the beautiful waters of Lake Sinclair. Embrace adventure through thrilling watersports, or enjoy relaxation in a waterfront rental.
June Signature Events
Saturday, June 1st: Magnolia Rea Market Day at Huff's Market
Join Magnolia Rea at Huff's Market for their Market Day on Saturday, June 1st from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and shop from local vendors.
Friday, June 7th: First Friday: Beach Bash
Milledgeville Main Street brings the beach to downtown Milledgeville!
Friday, June 7th & 21st: The Milly Farmer’s Market
Join The Milly Market for Friday evening Farmer's Markets on Friday, June 7th, and Friday, June 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The market includes locally sourced and grown products. The Milly Market is double EBT/SNAP approved.
Sunday, June 16th: Father's Day in Milledgeville
Celebrate Dad's Day in Milly! From fishing Lake Sinclair to uncovering the town's history, or indulging in delicious dining, there is something for every father to enjoy.
