ZZ Top's First Album is the debut studio album by American rock band ZZ Top, produced by Bill Ham, recorded June–October 1970 and released in January 1971 by London.

CD releases of this album contain a different mix to the vinyl. The album was completely remixed in 1987 for CD release to update the sound. The original vinyl mix appears on CD in The Complete Studio Albums 1970-1990.

The original mixes of tracks tracks 2, 4, and 9 are available on 2003's Chrome, Smoke & BBQ boxset, and track 10 is available on 1977's The Best of ZZ Top.

I'm very pleased with this pressing of the most overlooked ZZTop album. It's my favorite of the power trio's efforts because of its rawness and the fact it hasn't been overplayed on the radio back when we used to listen to the radio😎🤘🏻

Killer guitar tone is what you want, and killer guitar tone is what you get. There should be a temple somewhere, made outta old pickup trucks and adorned with longhorn skulls and Brown Sugar plays on and on for eternity..

This would appear to be the Sixpack remix due to Bedroom Thang and Backdoor Love Affair being shortened compared to the original mix. To get the old mix of the full album on CD, the only options are the Complete Studio Albums set and the Japanese mini LP.
