Max is a director/writer/mammal.
PALM SPRINGS, his narrative debut, premiered at Sundance and went on to receive two Golden Globe Nominations, a WGA Award Nomination for Best Original Screenplay, and the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Comedy.
His next film, BROTHERS, starring Josh Brolin, Peter Dinklage, Brendan Fraser, and Glenn Close, will be released October 11th by Amazon/MGM.
He also wrote/directed MOMMY, I'M A BASTARD!, a feature documentary about his adoption.
Max earned his MFA in Directing from the AFI Conservatory, trained with Werner Herzog in Cuba, and is a graduate of Yale University.
