Q&A
For a second I thought this was an ad for a post graduate college course or something 😆
Nah, it's an ad for a blood donation drive.
Gap back to school sale for me. Didn’t even question that school is very much in session right now.
"Don't take Proferna with RAO Inhibitors. A small number of Proferna patients experienced cancers or death while taking Proferna. Do not take Proferna if you are diabetic or have high blood pressure."
"So ask your doctor about switching to, holy shit, is that Michael Cera? Uh, sorry. I got distracted. I love Superbad. Anyways, Uh, Proferna. Its good y'all."
Do not taunt Proferna.
In rare cases of sudden onset blindness and/or genital detachment, consult your doctor about whether to continue Proferna.
Took me a minute.
Give plasma. Save Lives. EARN CASH!
Method One Acting School
Love your monologue
I thought it was another Cerave ad
Michael Cerave
My 9 year old nephew told his mom that exact quote, not knowing what Cerave is or who Michael Cera is. He just heard it on the playground and kids all think it's funny.
lol yes. I was aimlessly scrolling, assumed it was an ad, and then noticed that the guy looks a lot like Michael Cera
I thought it looked like Judd apatow
Pretty sure it’s a “Living with Crohn’s Disease” spot for public transit
This picture belongs in a 90s textbook for sure.
Pretty much what everyone in downtown Sac looks like, ngl.
Is Sac its official nickname?
Yes, and there's an older, touristy section of town that's called (I kid you not) Old Sac.
Where you buy salt water taffy and go to the train museum!
yeah lived in Midtown for years at Capitol Towers. Old Sac is with the railroad stuff. Liked it back then (but its changed). J and K street aren't what they used to be. everthing is 2000% more expensive. Restaurants have gone downhill. K street mall is obviously gone and is now the arena for Kings (light the beam!) and concerts. But back then (early 2000s) it was great. And no one drove, everyone enjoyed just walking anywhere. Also 2nd Saturday was dope.
Yes. Lived in Sac for 20 years now (omg way too long to not be near an ocean).
Ok, at least it’s not called The Sac. Or is it??
Hangin in Sac like a testicle
Calm down there - it ain't Omaha! It's an hour from Vallejo and an hour and a half from San Francisco.
Why do I go Greendale?
TO MEET DIFFERENT PEOPLE
STOP SAYING I'M DIFFERENT!
The only thing I would have made me second guess this is the fact that it's too high quality
For real. It looks like it belongs on the cover of a college texthbook.
To meet different people!
This looks like a prescription drug ad
I can already hear the feel good music and the last part about how the drug can cause depression, suicidal thoughts and possibly death.
Some really sound like the warnings of the Happy Fun Ball.
cases of death were mild to moderate
"WARNING: This drug that is supposed to help you overcome your thoughts of depression and suicide may actually make you more depressed and suicidal. Good luck, fuckers!"
“There’s no I in Teamocil, at least not where you’d think.”
"Live again, with herpes."
I used to suffer from crippling agoraphobia, but now, I can stand up the 3 people for 10 minute bursts!. Thanks Cysterizine!!!
I was going to say a math book cover.
I actually thought it WAS an ad at first. Then I saw Michael Cera and thought "that looks like Michael Cera. The fuck is he doing ads for?" Then I realized what the post was.
Sounds like you haven't seen this: https://youtu.be/eVrUDqYfRUM?si=Q4S_vD_RWVgFk5mt
It's a real ad.
That what I thought and then I saw Cera and went back.
Interestingy, Michael Angarano and Kristen Stewart dated for a number of years. They were basically each other's first real serious relationship.
Now he’s married to Maya Erskine.
Lucky dude.
didn't she dump him for Robert Pattinson?
Yup.
No bad blood between them I guess
If there was, enough water passed under the bridge.
Well, if he hated Robert Pattinson for it, Stewart also cheated on Pattinson so I guess that kinda evens it out?
So glad I’m not the only person who had this immediate thought
It's what I came to the comments for! It was important to Middle Schooler me.
I can’t wait for the part (entirety) of the movie where they’re stuck behind two big rigs driving side by side on I-5.
Jesus. I grew up in Sacramento. The amount of times Ive just sat there on the 5 is too many to count. One time it was my dad and I. It was a dead stop for probably about 2 hours. We got out, walked around the grassy middle area and watched tv on my laptop.
I live far away now. I’ll always miss Sacramento. I don’t miss the fucking traffic on the 5.
Lol I went to college in LA and made the drive back to sac many times for holidays. Needless to say I was dumbfounded when I read the plot synopsis and that this is a comedy. Maybe they take the 101 and go hours out of their way just so the movie is more than in n out at kettlemen city and dust and cows.
I'm opposite, born and raised in SoCal but moved to Sac for school and never left. I was also confused when I heard they were seen filming in town for this plot. I'm curious to see what parts of Sacramento they actually show, too, because the few leaked filming locations were random.
Hello fellow moved to sac for school , but never left!
I saw Michael Cera filming at a gas station in East Sac.
"And then they drove 100 miles up I5. And then it smelt like cow shit for 20 minutes. And they they drove 300 more miles"
Pure cinema
My man if you've seen 50 lately you'll realize it can get way worse.
Remembering 50 when I lived there, I can believe you. All of them sucked when I moved in 2010, so I can only imagine they’ve gotten worse. Every time I’ve been back, I just go to the east bay where my cousin lives and that’s a crap drive on 80 from Sacramento.
I remember when I could drive to San Francisco from Sacramento in just over an hour. Just driving from sac airport to Benicia is hours long now.

I also knew people born and raised in SF that called it Frisco. Some people are just weird man.

Grew up in Fresno, we talked like that there. Lived in the Bay for over a decade, same story. What part of "sac" are you actually in? Rocklin? Auburn?
Comment deleted by user
Nope. Born and raised in south Sacramento. Moved to Arizona when I was in my mid 20s. I always get made fun of in other states for referring to a highway or freeway with The in front of it.
The people I grew up with always referred to them the same way I did. Maybe we were just a weird pocket of people?
Hey now, you wouldn't want the passing driver who has their speed limiter set at 55.7 to be stuck behind the guy who is stuck at 55.2, if they didn't spend 12 minutes passing they might arrive a whole 30 seconds late
Recently did a Sac to LA drive and I had multiple RVs flip me off after I honked at them for going 60 in the passing lane while the right lane was clogged full of semis
There will be a scene of cows. And also a scene of farm workers in the valley. I'm just trying to think of all the stereotypical things lol
Kettleman City and Anderson's Split Pea Soup better be on there, as well as at least two rest stops closed for cleaning/renovation.
I hear they will also be releasing cow smells into the theater for the authentic experience
If video stores were still common they could put this in a special section with Adventureland, American Ultra, and Cafe Society just to mess with people who confuse Cera and Eisenberg. 😁
Gene picks.
Gene’s trash.
I’m Gene.
I don’t know who Gene is, but they all have Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg (except this one)
The quirky section
Movies to base your personality off of.
I thought they were the same guy for about 10 years until 2019 or something.
They once asked Michael Cera what work he’s most recognized for on the street and he said “The Social Network”.
Lmao
Love that kind of quote. Recently watched an interview thing with danny gonzales and he talked about how there is a similar named guy working on movies like Lightyear and how he (danny) also comically resembles a lot of their characters especially Buzz lightyear. And how people regularly believe he worked on the movie and also somehow managed to convince them to design the main character after him
