Originally it was built for the 1878 Paris "World Fair" to house the Pavilion of Norway and Sweden. It was subsequently bought and given to an aristocrat's adopted daughter who, upon her death, left her wealth to create an interesting/personal collection. - Dominique E60 contributionsQuiet park set between a hotel and Rue Sainte Marie allowing for a long walk. Easy access to another park along the Seine bank using steps. Lots of people walking with children and dogs. Lower park allows picnics and relaxing on grass.
