Room was fine for one night and hotel is pet friendly. Bathroom and bedroom could have done with better cleaning. Sheets were worn and marked. Hotel was sold out so maybe staff were rushing. Check in was friendly and the request for an extra pillow was completed by the reception taking me to the laundry and giving me a new pillow and pillowcase immediately. No breakfast/pool at the moment but a great breakfast can be had at the flying pig across the road. Has outside seating if you have a dog and was one of the best breakfasts over a two week trip.

We rented two rooms at the Wyndham in Santa Fe for one night. The check-in staff was very friendly and efficient. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and there were enough parking spaces ,even though the hotel was quite full. We traveled with a dog and there is an area behind the hotel for dog walks and a waste station with dog waste bags is also provided. Overall the hotel was very clean and the area felt safe.

If you’re traveling across country with pets, always choose La Quint. Generally no pet deposit or fee. The Santa Fe property has been one of our favorites for years. The staff is friendly, and the property is clean, quiet, and well maintained. Maybe a bit frayed, but at $68/night for two full beds, I can overlook a little blemish here and there. We will most likely stay here whenever we pass through Santa Fe. Even when we no longer have pets.

we got stuck staying here because yours truly waited until the last minute to book and most places were full ! our friends we went with stayed at econ lodge and paid almost 1/2 what we paid and got 100% better service including an open pool, welcoming staff and the full breakfast !
we got a staff that was not very welcoming including telling us to not stay with them when we come back to Santa Fe ! I did complain because each day (including the 1st night) when we went to use the room key card they would not work. girl told me not to keep in my wallet, next to my phone or in my pocket ! I asked where to keep in then and got a frown for a response. I think they were reusing the keys too much and needed new cards.
next upon check in they said my credit card was declined ! I have never had this happen, we pay our card off each month and when I checked later - there was a ZERO balance ! same thing was happening to couple checking next to us and the next night when I went back to the front desk to get the key cards fixed (again) the guy checking in was getting the same thing happening - so it had to be something wrong with their system.
this time when I mentioned it to the lady that said she was the "supervisor" that there had to be something wrong on their end and that the breakfast bags they were giving out (an old beat up looking orange and a breakfast bar) were pretty poor. I also mentioned (after she said it was because of covid) that my friends were staying at econo lodge and they had a "full" breakfast and their pool was open !
this is when she said next time we visit Santa Fe stay elsewhere !

I stayed previously in this same hotel and same location a year ago and everything was just fine, that was the reason I decided to book a room again, unfortunately this time my stay was nothing but frustrating and disappointing.
The room was dirty, whoever cleaned the room did a bad job, the shower tub was clogged, water will not drain, bathroom floors dirty and sticky, carpet in the room full of crumps of something that looks like maybe food, blankets in bed dirty and blood stains on the pillow cases.
Also, the whole 3 nights we stayed at the hotel it was no wifi available, no wifi at any time during the day or night, which was very inconvenient because I travel for work and I was not able to complete a lot of work and I had to go out of my way looking for different places to get wifi connection to be able to get some work done.
The pool was closed, and the A/C on the room was working but poorly. The interaction with the front desk people was pretty disappointing too, I spoke with at least 5 different people during different shifts and none of them were able to help me to resolve the issues I was having and none showed any minimal concern towards my situation, few of the people were actually rude and hard to approach. My whole stay was nothing but a bad experience, I was traveling with my 73 years old mom and neither her or I were able to enjoy the time spent on that room.
I don't know if this hotel has changed of management since the last time a year ago when I stayed for the first time and I have a very positive experience, but it seems that the current management couldn't care less about costumer service and quality, during the whole 3 days o stayed I was never able to speak with a manager because there was never one available at the hotel. The advertising on the website offers you a clean room with “housekeeping services daily”, and with Wifi, but once we got to the hotel and we checked in, we were told that housekeeping was only every 3 days, so if you wanted a clean room you pretty much will have to clean yourself, even the nasty stuff that wasn't clean in the room before we even checked in. I will not be staying in this location again or will not recommend this location to any one I know.

The hotel was completely full the night we stayed but we had a very good stay. In the past all La Quinta hotels took pets for free, and the Santa Fe La Quinta still does. However we heard that since La Quinta was taken over from Wyndham some La Quintas now charge for pets. I think that is a serious mistake for La Quinta since many people who travel with pets stay at La Quintas because of their free pet policies.

Looking at the pictures I feel like we stayed at a different hotel! Apparently some of the hotel has been updated, but we were in the back on the first floor and it was horrible. There were 4 of us with 2 rooms and after the first night we checked out and found a different hotel. We needed one handicap accessible room, overall the room was ok except for being very small, and the hot water nozzle on the bathtub falls off. The other room was the real issue, the heater ran constantly even when turned down to 60 degrees in an effort to cool off the room, these older rooms seem to only have double beds, so my parents had a single double bed and my mom fell out during the night! We needed handicap accessibility and the back parking lot spaces were nearly impassable and horribly dangerous. I hadn't stayed in a La Quinta in over 40 years. Now I know why. It was terribly cold while we were there and having to walk outside and all the way around the hotel to access the mediocre breakfast wasn't a big hit either.

We stayed here on a night that it snowed about 5 inches. Front desk staff were friendly. This is an older La Quinta and has outside entrances. The room was quiet and warm. We like to stay at La Quinta Inns because they have a great pet policy. If we were ever to stay in Santa Fe again, we would stay here.

I stay at La Quintas a lot, as I travel with my 2 dogs and also because I can count on a comfortable bed. I'd never stayed at this particular one before and it exceeded my expectations. I had called ahead to make sure there was no pet fee (some LQs now charge a pet fee). When I arrived, I asked to have a room close to where I'd be parking, and the friendly and efficient clerk made the switch, no problem. The room was super clean, had an easy chair, and a nice, large work station with several outlets to plug into. The a/c unit was very quiet, and I heard little if any exterior noise during my stay. Nice curtains to keep out light and noise. The grounds were fine, and I found places to walk my dogs. The area is nice: malls and restaurants, and I felt very safe. Definitely one of the best motel stays I've had lately. It's a couple of miles from I-25 but easy to get to.

Twice in the last year, we have chosen to travel from Idaho to New Mexico. First to Ruidoso in August, and this time to Santa Fe. Both locations are tourist destinations. Both locations could really use some help in terms of renovation and upkeep. I could be very wrong, but this is something that should/needs to be coming from corporate. It feels like there has been a gradual decline in the upkeep of LaQuinta properties since its acquisition by Wyndham. However, as my title is clear on, the employees (in both places) have made the best of what they have to work with. Everyone we interacted with was kind, efficient, and professional. It is hard to say whether we would return to this location because of the "everything else" part, including that the condition of the room and overall property being abysmal. La Quinta used to be a brand that was reliably clean, moderately updated, and good value for the money. I didn't find that to be the case this time. The mattress was in desperate need of replacing. The wall heating unit sounded like a jet plane (especially after it had been on an hour or so). We did not bring this to the attention of staff during our visit because frankly, I wasn't convinced they would have options that were better to work with. (I did mention the wall unit at check-out.) We stayed for 4 nights and because we were out and about most of the time and simply slept there, we opted not to make a big stink and/or check out to find another place. I have never been so harsh in a review and have debated doing so. But, I feel the staff needs commending and Wyndham Properties has some work to do.

TL; DR- The employees were 5 star. The rest was not.
