On April 8, at the Harrow International School (Haikou) project site, hundreds of workers have transferred to indoor operations to carry out the final sprint for the completion of the entire project.

This new school with a total land area of ​​145 acres and a total construction area of ​​75,000 square meters has been started since December 28, 2018. Through more than a year of construction, the schoolyard has gradually been revealed. It contains two schools and one park, next to Jiangdong Avenue is the Harrow Innovation Leadership Academies, and on the other side is the Harrow Little Lions Early Years Centre. The two schools and one park share the same playground, and the Nanyang style arcade corridors connect each venue in the school so that the relatively independent two schools and one park in the architectural space are closely connected.

“The establishment of Harrow International School in Jiangdong New District will further optimize the distribution of education resources in Haikou and greatly improve the level of education internationalization in Haikou City and the whole province，”said the relevant person in charge of the Education Bureau of Haikou City.The entry of Harrow International School will promote the introduction of high-end talent for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. Currently, Harrow International Management Services Limited is carrying out preparations before the start of school, and it is expected to officially start in September this year.

All foreign teachers in Harrow International School are recruited from English-speaking countries. All foreign teachers must hold PGCE certificates. (Teacher qualification certificate issued by the British government) or equivalent qualification certificate issued by the country where it is located. Teachers should have many years of teaching experience in high-end British schools or international schools. Also, all foreign teachers need to pass a strict three rounds' interview to submit physical health information, full work history, no criminal record certificate, and personal safety information. After these 4 core information have been reviewed and approved by Harrow, they can formally join the Harrow teaching staff team.
