• Do not use the heater in bathrooms, laundry areas, or any location where it may come into contact with water.
• Avoid running the cord under carpeting or covering it with rugs or furniture.
• Always disconnect the heater by turning off the controls and removing the plug from the outlet.
• Ensure that the heater is placed on a stable surface to prevent tipping.
• Never use an extension cord or relocatable power tap with the heater.
• Check the plug and receptacle for any signs of damage or overheating.
• Inspect the appliance and power cable for any transportation damage before use.
• Do not cover or obstruct the front of the heater, as high temperatures may be generated.

Operating the VCK PTC Space Heater

1. Place the heater on a stable and flat surface, ensuring proper ventilation around it.
2. Plug the power cord into a properly polarized wall outlet.
3. Press the Power ON/OFF button to turn on the heater.
4. Use the Mode/Child Lock button to select the desired heating mode (Low Mode, High Mode, ECO Mode, Sleep Mode).
5. Adjust the temperature using the + and – Temperature/Timer Adjustment buttons.
6. If desired, activate the Oscillation feature by pressing the Oscillation button.
7. Set the desired duration for the heater to operate using the Timer button.
8. For convenience, you can use the included remote control with the same control buttons.
9. To turn off the heater, press the Power ON/OFF button or unplug the power cord from the outlet.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS HEATER. WHEN USING EL ECTRICAL APPL IANCES, BASIC PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED TO REDUCE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRICAL SHOCK AND INJURY TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING.

1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handle when moving the unit. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet [0.9 meters] from the front and top of the radiator and keep them away from the sides and rear. Keep the rear grille away from walls or drapes so as not to block the air intake.
3. Extreme caution and supervision is necessary when any heater is used near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
4. Always unplug heater when not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater, or return the heater to an authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms,laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
9. To disconnect the heater, turn controls to OFF. Then remove the plug from the outlet.
10. Connect to properly polarized outlets only.
11. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause electric shock, fire or damage to the heater.
12. To prevent possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
13. A heater has hot or arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored.
14. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, injury to persons or other damage to property.
15. To prevent overload and blown fuses, be sure that no other appliance is plugged into the same outlet [receptacle] or into another outlet [receptacle] wired into the same circuit.
16. It is normal for the heater’s plug and cord to feel warm to the touch. A plug or cord which becomes hot to the touch or becomes distorted in shape may be a result of a worn electrical outlet. Worn outlets or receptacles should be replaced prior to further use of the heater. Plugging heater into a worn outlet/receptacle may result in overheating of the power cord or fire.
17. Ensure the heater is on a stable, secure surface to eliminate the potential of tipping it over.
18. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap [outlet/ power strip].
19. Be sure that the plug is fully inserted into appropriate receptacle. Please remember that receptacles also deteriorate due to aging and continuous use: check periodically for signs of overheating or deformations evidenced by the plug. Do not use the receptacle and call your electrician.
20. Check that neither the appliance nor the power cable has been damaged in any way during transportation.
21. Make sure that no pieces of polystyrene or other packaging material have been left between elements of the appliance, It may be necessary to pass over the appliance with a vacuum cleaner.
    DANGER- High temperatures may be generated under certain abnormal condition.
    Do not partially or fully cover or obstruct the front of this heater.

REMOTE CONTROL

NOTE:
For using convenience, the same control buttons can be found on the remote control.

Operations and Functions

Place the heater on a firm, level surface and at least 3ft. (0.9m) away from any wall or combustible material. Plug into an appropriate voltage AC outlet, the unit will enter standby mode with a beep and power indicator on red. Your heater is ready for use now.

Power ON/OFF

• Press on the heater / remote control once to turn the heater ON with default. SETTINGS: Power indicator on red, LED displays the current room temperature.
• Press once again to turn the heater OFF with 25-second delay and countdown time on the display.

Mode / Heat Level Setting

• When the unit is on, repeatedly press the heater / remote control to cycle through Low→High → ECO modes.

ECO Mode

• When the unit is on, repeatedly press on the heater / remote control to select ECO mode.
• When ECO mode is turned on, the heater will adjust the working mode (High or Low) automatically based on the set temperature.
• If the room temperature exceeds 86°F, it will stop working and switch to standby mode.

Oscillation

• Press button once, the heater will begin oscillating from left to right around 80° to get the better heat dispersion. Press again to turn the oscillation off.

Temperature Adjustment

• When the unit is on, press or on the heater / remote control to adjust the temperature from 60 to 90°F (16-32°C) in 1°F / °C increments.
• Once set, the LED display will show the set temperature, and display the current room temperature after flashing for 3 seconds. When the set temperature is reached, the heater will stop working.
• When the room temperature is lower than the set one, the heater will start working again.

Auto OFF Timer

• When the unit is on, repeatedly press the button on the heater / remote control, which can be set from 01 to 12 hours timer cyclically. After setting the timing, the orange icon “h” in the display area lights up. When time is up, the unit will automatically stop running.
• To cancel Timer setting
  1. Press 2 times in a row, the timer resets to zero
  2. Adjust the timer setting to 00.

Child Lock Function

• Long press the child lock button for 2s, and the lock icon turns into Orange, it means the child lock function is activated.
• When child lock function is activated, there is no response to any function button on the remote or control panel but the lock icon will flash. Long press the child lock button for 2s to deactivate child lock function before setting.

Sleep Mode

• Set the Sleep mode mute function on the remote control. When you press the “ ” on the remote control and hear a long “DI”, you will enter the silent mode. When you press the “ ” again, you will hear 2 consecutive “DI” to turn off the mute function.

Other Features

Memory Function

• The heater will always remember your last settings (temperature & working mode) once you turn it on again.

15-Hour Auto Shut Off

• When the heater has been working for 15 hours continuously without any other operation, it will shut off automatically.

Auto LED Display OFF

• In the case of no operation for 15 seconds, the brightness of the LED display will dim to 50%, and after another 3 seconds, he LED display will dim to 30%, press any button to wake it up.

Tip-Over Protection

• When the heater is tipped over, the heater will shut off automatically.
• Place the heater back on a flat, level and stable surface and remain pright. Then turn it on again.

Replacement of Batteries in Remote Control

1. Remove the battery insulating film along the indicated arrow direction to power on the remote.
2. To replace battery, unscrew the cover and replace with 1 CR2032 type lithium battery. Make sure the position is correct.
3. Reinstall the battery box cover.

CAUTION:

• Replace with new batteries of the same type when replacement is required.
• When not using the remote control for a long time, please take out the battery.
• Do not attempt to dismantle the battery.
• Do not dispose the battery in fire, battery may explode or leak.

Cleaning and Maintenance

It is recommended that the heater be cleaned at least one time during the operating season and before off-season storage in order to provide the optimum level of performance.
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains by switching it off and removing the plug from the power outlet before cleaning.

• Turn the heater OFF, unplug it and wait for the heater to cool down.
• Use only a soft cloth to gently wipe the outer surfaces of the heater.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or detergents.
• Never immerse the heater in water and never allow water to drip into the motor housing. Be sure not to wet the Heating Element and the switches.
• For storage, you may leave the heater covered to protect it from dust. Store it in a cool, dry location and arrange the cable away from traffic areas so that it will not be tripped over or damaged.

CAUTION:

• Do not allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could result in a fire or electric shock hazard.
• Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

Heater does not start

|

Overheat Protection has been activated

| Turn the heater OFF, unplug it and allow it to cool.

Check and remove any objects on or adjacent to the heater.

Wait 5-10 minutes before plugging the unit back in.

No power is passing through the unit.

| Ensure that your circuit breaker or fuse is working properly.

Ensure your heater is placed on a flat and even surface.

Setting temperature is lower than the room temperature.| Make sure the thermostat is set at a higher temperature than the room temperature.

The heater suddenly stops during heating

|

Ambient temperature reaches above 122°F

| Unplug it from the power source and power it on again when the ambient temperature drops below 50°C/122°F.

The heater is tipped over.

| Place it on a flat, level and stable surface and remain upright. Then turn it on again.
