Sea of Bygone Eras is an area released in Genshin Impact 4.6. It's an expansion to Fontaine, and it includes two other places, Petrichor, and hidden underneath the small town, the Faded Castle.
Like any other area in Genshin Impact, Petrichor has its own area quest, which is required for completely unraveling what the area has to offer. Breaking the chains that bind Scylla is one of the necessary steps to finish the Canticles of Harmony mission, which will unlock one of the main features of the Sea of Bygone Eras.

How To Break The Chains That Bind Scylla In Genshin Impact
Before players can free the Dragonborn and enjoy Scylla's ability in Genshin Impact, they must first break the chains that bind Scylla. This can be done by following the direction in which the chains in the Sea of Bygone Eras extend. There are a total of three trials players may face, which will be explained below.
How To Solve The Resonant Anemone Puzzle
To solve the Resonant Anemone puzzle in Genshin Impact, players must press/tap their Might of the Ancient Symphony ability when the Washer Octopus' ring covers the entire Anemone in the vicinity.
Once all Washer Octopuses stop in the suitable positions and all Resonant Anemones enter the "Resonance" state, players can undo Scylla's chain by holding the Might of the Ancient Symphony until the chain is undone.
Praetorian Golem Chains
The second Scylla chain can easily be removed after players defeat all three Praetorian Golem in Genshin Impact. There's no puzzle in this part, so simply ensure you have a proper team to defeat these Geo-aligned enemies. To beat them properly, you must remove their Geo shield by using blunt attacks such as Geo hits, Claymore, and explosions.
Once their Geo shield is broken, they'll be incapacitated for a few seconds, and have their RES set to normal, instead of the boosted RES when their shield is intact.
Getting The Leader's Trust
The final chain can be broken after a mini-game where players must get the Leader's trust in Genshin Impact. Players must choose the option that's less upsetting to these Remurians. Successfully obtaining the Leader's trust allows Travelers to advance with the task without interruption, but failure will lead to a fight.
These two Golems are actually the two people that players see at the start of the Canticles of Harmony quest. However, back then, they disguised themselves as adventurers.
