Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It really was a brilliant weekend. 2 adults, 2 kids (8 & 2) and there were things for all of us. We did a short stay so were there for two days and felt we made the most of things across the two days - one day would have been too short. All round excellent and memories made. Thank you!

It was a good day out. We took a picnic and I’m glad we did because the food was so expensive. £3 for a bottle of water, £8.50 for a sausage roll, £4 for an ice cream. We expected it but as a family of 5 who had already paid over £200 to get in it’s a lot. The queues were ok although it wasn’t too busy, the longest we queued was 50 mins. I imagine in the summer/school hols it’s a lot longer. It was really clean and plenty of people to ask for help if needed and most were really friendly. I’d really recommend downloading the app before you go. You can have your tickets on but it also gives you a map with directions to each ride from where you are and tells you how long the queues are for all the rides too which helps plan your routes. You can also keep all your photos on there and decide whether to print them at the end or pay to download them. We really found having it useful deciding which ride to go for next making the most of the day. We’d gone for my twins 15th birthday and they had a great day so that’s really all that matters!

We went to Stockeld for a birthday party. Enjoyed the party and stayed for the rest of the day. So much to do for a wide range of children.

Arrived to hotel about 14.00hrs on 21.05.24

Check in wasn't until 4 , all good we went to explore the park.

Once into the room, it was evident the carpet was not cleaned as belongings of previous visitor was on the floor. Room was average , headboard dirty, curtains dirty and worn.
Spoke with reception who offered to get house keeping to clean the room. Manager met with me said he would send somebody up but clearly nobody had been back in the room as still dirty when we returned to our room..

Came back to room on the 22.05.24 day 2. Housekeeping had been in the room. I have never seen such a miserable attempt in my life at making a bed or cleaning a room..

Park is good, every kids dream but standard of cleaning in the hotel overall is miserable.

Staff are all lovely very obliging.

You would expect at least a clean room with the price of it

A lovely day out. Would be difficult to see/do everything in one day so it's great that you get a free revisit within 7 days.
Lovely enclosures/ habitats and animals seem content. Soft play great for 18 months +
Great outdoor play areas and lots of them.
We took a picnic so can't comment on food. Coffee was bitter and undrinkable from the place near the softplay.
A great day out that our toddler thoroughly enjoyed.
One grievance was that the disabled access wasn't the best. I couldn't find a disabled toilet; no signs and, probably because it was a weekday term time, I couldn't find a member of staff. Didn't want to waste time so ended up queuing and using the regular toilets but this could have gone very differently.
Final note the gift shop was amazing. Lots of teddies and toys and souvenirs and very reasonable prices EXCEPT I did see a bottle of suncream priced at ÂŁ10 which I think is very naughty and taking advantage of forgetful parents.

Lovely experience for elderly mother to watch the dancing but sandwiches were dry and had hardly any filling and had no taste . We had a job to work out what was in them . In fact I have to say most of it was tasteless. I do think it needs to improve. We would have liked to take her to the top of the tower as it’s many years since she has been but it’s not so simple as that is a separate attraction and we were told we would have had to go outside the building and then enter again via the booking office.. Plus it would have been £18 each as now it’s not just a simple ride to the top! What a pity. I suppose none of us will go back to do just that .

I used Tesco reward vouchers which at 2x the value are not worth having. I didn't know until I purchased them that I could not buy tickets on line prior to visit so had to queue and pay the 'on the day rate' which was 30% more expensive. I could not book a time slot for the Safari and we are not eligible for a free return visit. I have used Tesco vouchers for other attractions and have been able to book on line and get the on line price and free return. The safari drive was the best part of the park as the rest is looking a bit dated and tired. There were no water fountains so the only option was to buy water and there were huge queues for all the food outlets so take sandwiches.

We had a great day with our grand monster and her friend the park is clean with a good selection of rides and staff were very helpful, the only real downside food is very expensive and ÂŁ9.50 to park is over the top being as you have already paid to enter park

Staff were quick to help without us even asking, by stopping the cars to let me in and out, as I walk with a stick . At the top Trudi made sure we had an access map and gave advice on the suitable routes. My partner was going down one of the caves ( he said his guide Russ was great) and I was going to watch the film. Trudi said that if I let them know in the shop when I had finished she would come up and walk me down the steep path if I wanted. So helpful and caring.
We visited the cafe and gift shop. Good food and service.
Rachel in the gift shop was so friendly and very informative.
We felt that the staff were enjoying their jobs and nothing was too much trouble. I had read some negative reviews beforehand about unhelpful and rude staff , and was worried how I would manage, but we found these reviews were totally unfounded. Great visit.

Have visited the Snowdome on numerous occasions and have enjoyed it every time. Me and my partner decided to have some snowboarding lessons recently and took advantage of the buy one get one free offer during May/June. Our first session was the Fast Track Level 2 with instructors Ben and Jamie on 25/05/24, it was a fairly busy group with around 10 people and both instructors were very knowledgeable and super helpful to ensure everyone felt confident and comfortable. At the start of the lesson, Jamie explained the equipment very clearly and ensured everyone knew how to set up properly and wear boots securely. They both remembered all participants' names, which surprised me and showed they were bothered about their teaching. After the lesson, they took the time to explain to all participants their abilities and the next steps they would advise.

We then booked onto our second session for 02/06/24, which was Level 2 non fast track, and this time, our instructor was Georgie. To our surprise we were the only people in the lesson so it ended up being a private lesson which was really beneficial to our learning. Georgie gave us advice and tips throughout the session on where to improve and what we were doing well. Once the lesson ended, she advised us on the next steps also.

We had a great experience both times and will definitely be returning to continue our lessons.

We went for an impromptu afternoon out to the Milkyway. What can I say…..the absolute best time was had! I went with my son (10) and his friend. The best bit for me were the birds of prey, seeing them fly around and hearing all about them was fascinating. The boys on the other hand would probably say the rollercoaster, penalty shoot out and play area. Although they couldn’t believe an Eagle flew past them - this was a hot topic on the way home! We were so impressed with the whole place that we have now booked a birthday party there for July and can’t wait to come back. I can’t give a special shout out to one member of staff in particular as they were all so lovely and welcoming - well done Milkyway we will be back regularly! Xxx
