Wilkes County Schools is pleased to announce our Summer Meal Programs. Meals will be available at various locations throughout the county from June 5th through July 26th for children ages 1 through 18 at no charge. Click the headline above for more information.

Attention Rising Sophomore and Junior families:
If you are interested in your student going on a GEAR UP College Road Trip this summer, please have your student stop by the main office and speak with Ms. Sarah Whittington, our Gear Up Coordinator, or one of our school counselors to pick up a GEAR UP Summer Bus Tour packet today!

Please remember that students’ names CANNOT be put on the list to attend until the completed packet is returned to our GEAR UP Coordinator or our school counselors. All spots are first come, first serve.

Seats are very limited, so please consider taking advantage of this free opportunity!

Tour dates are as follows:

June 25, 2024 = Western Carolina University/UNC-Asheville

July 16, 2024 = NC State/NC Museum of History & Natural Science

The National Technical Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 10:30am at Wilkes Central High School in the Axillary Gym. New members will be inducted and receive certificates and other NTHS material; seniors will receive their graduation cords. Guests of NEW Inductees are welcome to attend, but please limit the number of guests to two.
