Salt Films is an Irish based production company established to develop and produce high-end drama for the international market.

Suzanne McAuley (p.g.a.), founder, has been producing drama for over 25 years, working in collaboration with leading international partners.

Salt Films also acts as a co-producer to incoming productions in Ireland.

Meet The Team

SUZANNE MCAULEY

CEO/FOUNDER

Suzanne McAuley has worked in the film and TV industry for 30 years and has Exec Produced/Series Produced over 140 hours of HETV drama including “Moonflower Murders” – PBS/BBC, “The Doll Factory” – Paramount+, “Magpie Murders” -PBS/BBC, ITV’s “Maigret”, and all five seasons of the multi award-winning “Love/Hate”.

Prior to Producing, she worked as a Financial Controller – packaging the S481 tax incentive and overseeing the finance on many large scale international TV Dramas and Features.

Suzanne is a member of the Producers Guild of America and has been a Juror for the International Emmys.

She has won three IFTA’s and a Cinema Tous Ecrain award for Best TV Drama, and been nominated for 8 IFTA’s, a Golden Nymph and a Prix Europa award.

Suzanne was a board member of Screen Producer’s Ireland from 2009–2013.

DONAL GeRaghty

HEAD of Business Affairs

Donal Geraghty boasts over three decades of invaluable experience in the dynamic Film and Television Industry. With a sterling track record as Financial Controller and Co-Producer, his expertise spans across renowned international productions. His major portfolio gleams with major feature films, notably contributing to cinematic marvels such as “Batman Begins and the iconic “Tomb Raider” 1 & 2. In the realm of high-end TV, his credits include major hits such as “Game of Thrones” and “Vikings” where he also acted as Associate Producer on 89 episodes while assuming the role of Co-Producer on the eagerly anticipated “Vikings” spin-off “Vikings Valhalla” for Netflix.

Donal’s multifaceted skill set, and vast industry insight have cemented his status as a pivotal figure in the entertainment landscape

ELAINE NICELL

PRODUCTION EXECUTIVE

Elaine Nicell has worked in the film and TV industry for over 25 years.

She began her career in production working as an Assistant and Production Co-ordinator. Her many credits include “The Count of Monte Cristo”, “The Medallion” and “King Arthur”.

After rearing her family, Elaine became an in-house Production Co-Ordinator for Metropolitan Films.

Elaine has spent the last 4 years working as a Development Officer for S481 Skills Development Plans, reporting on many productions such as “Magpie Murders”, God’s Creatures”, “Aisha”, , “The Banshees of Inisherin”, “Cocaine Bear”, “Bad Sisters”, “The Pope’s Exorcist”, “Arcadian”, ,“Moonflower Murders” and “The Hardacres”.

Elaine’s skills in both production management and sustainability, human resources and development are a great addition to team Salt.
