It's like SWIMMING WITH SHARKS and a Tom & Jerry cartoon had a baby, which they routinely dropped on its head.
decent take on the torture genre. that's not to say it's torture porn tho, cause it's very tame. more psychological, shady investor asshole has to face his victims.
at one point when he's about to be tortured by a guy he fucked over with a film investment, he tries saving himself by saying 'i swear to god i got m night shyamalan to direct this' lol.
This was called "Unhinged" on Crackle/FuboTV. I DVRd this when it played one night and couldn't find it listed anywhere under that title, but i found it way down on Eric Balfour's page. The leading actors gave really good performances in this one, and I didn't have many gripes about the supporting cast.
If you want a revenge story with quite a few layers of people being assholes, that doesn't drag and keeps the mystery afloat pretty nicely for the majority of its runtime, give this one a shot. It could also be considered a "movie person's kind of movie" as a main narrative involves the film industry, to avoid spoiling anythjng I won't say more.
I am surprised this has only double digit views, but I guess if I hadn't been randomly recording movies I wouldn't have found this. The title and poster here are not very appealing.
"You promised the ring off your finger that you could triple my campaign money in less than 72 hours."
"There is no ring!"
"Then it looks like I'm taking the finger."
A hustler, who's great at getting people to invest money in schemes that never pan out, is kidnapped by one of his victims who, in turn, invites other victims, one by one, to come by for a visit. This is a highly intense, sometimes painful, thriller that seems pretty straight forward to start but suddenly, when things go wrong, becomes an incredibly complicated game of wits and survival. Unlike the ratings seem to indicate, I found this film to be well written, well performed, and highly engaging. Good fun.
Steve has it all – a babe, money, investors abound – until a blow to the head puts him in the trunk of vengeful Peter. A deal gone wrong led Peter into a downward spiral, and he blames Steve for his misfortune. Turns out he’s not the only one that Steve has screwed over, and the movie quickly turns into a torture series. Bloody, beaten, and bombastic, Steve fills every scene with his silver-tongued nonsense, well accompanied by the interesting sound effect choices. There is no hero in Agenda: Payback, but if you’re a fan of gore and thrills, you will not be disappointed.
