What's a Hair Metal Song?

Hair metal (also known as glam metal) is a genre of hard rock music from the 1980s, played by glam rock stars who spent as much time primping their hair, makeup, and flamboyant clothes for Headbangers Ball videos as they did creating their music.

While being labeled a hair band has had negative connotations, the genre remains popular, and '80s hair metal bands continue to perform their greatest hits for rock lovers around the world.

Formed in Los Angeles, Mötley Crüe took the glam metal look to the extreme.

Bon Jovi keeps showing up on metal band lists...but they were rock and roll, not metal!! And also, I may have missed them, but did Metallica show up anywhere? If not, I'm really going to be pissed.
