I think Blair is a very diverse school, but it’s also very clicky it would be rough to come into this school being a new student , and since it being the biggest school in Maryland it’s very crowded and easy to get overstimulated in
Overall, Montgomery Blair High School is a really decent school with few minor issues. There are people who come from different background and cultures all over the world. People are helpful, the school hosts fun activities, and students are connected in some ways. However, some small dilemmas related to school is that it is overpopulated, a few fights break out, and that there may be a lot of teachers who don’t really enjoy their jobs which greatly affects the experiences of their students. Nevertheless, this high school is all in all a greatly developed school with awesome students, but they could certainly improve the school in a variety of ways.
My experience with Montgomery Blair High School has been extraordinary these past four years. One of the best parts of my whole experience was presenting my capstone project with hundreds of my peers. The worst part of my experience was being too short and flying by very fast. I would like to see the plans in classrooms change. I do believe that a date sheet of when every assignment should be turned in should be given at the beginning of the semester. This would help with college readiness within the classroom itself.
As a student of the Montgomery Blair High School Magnet Program, there is a noticeable rift between the magnet/performing arts program population and the regular students. There is little to no divergence of these populations and we all stay in our own little bubbles, which is a shame. The magnet program has some of the most supportive teachers that provide opportunities for struggling students like me by having accessible office hours and work sessions. I have also met some of the most genuine people inside and outside the program. There’s so many types of people at this school, and learning about everyone is interesting.
I believe that Montgomery Blair High School is a very good school. Although there are slight things that would make Blair an even better school. I would say if staff worked with students more closely we would able to have more say in what the school rules are but they can be very set on them. The community at Blair is probably the best thing about it, it really feels like a family and almost everyone has a great group of friends.
My experience at Montgomery Blair has been one that has taught me a lot, particularly through my involvement in the Communications Arts Program (CAP). The school has an exceptional environment with its diversity and a welcoming atmosphere. The students are kind and contribute to a positive community.
The activities and clubs available at Montgomery Blair are amazing. They provide students with multiple opportunities to explore their interests and develop new skills. Though the college readiness and the teachers are not amazing, when students make efforts to seek out opportunities for their needs they can create positive outcomes.
The CAP and Magnet Programs are amazing programs within Montgomery Blair. These programs create an environment where students can grow academically. Overall, my experience at Montgomery Blair is a positive one.

my experience at Montgomery Blair High School so far as being a junior has been pretty good. It’s very diverse as the different clubs, courses, and sports it has to offer.
My time in high school has helped me immensely mature as a student. I have learned a lot from the diverse student body and challenging academics my school provides me. I have been able to engage students through creating clubs and activities which has shown me the importance of interacting diversely with individuals. The support system of the faculty and staff has helped me develop to an ambitious aspiring neuroscientists. Taking challenging AP and magnet courses has prepared me for college life and makes me ex cited for what lies ahead.
Overall a good school. Very diverse community through its students, faculty, and parents. Also, prepares you for thee college environment very well.
While I have enjoyed my 3 years at Blair High School, the overall experience was mediocre. The school is very large (over 3,200 students) making it tough for it to be excellent in any specific area.
I believe that Blair has a beautiful culture of respect, and they do a great job of celebrating everyone. One of the best things about MBHS is it's diversity and how there are so many different perspectives to learn from. The one thing that I think could be improved is stronger and more positive teacher-student relationships. I think this would make kids more happy to go to school and do well in their classes.
Montgomery Blair High School stands as a beacon of diversity and academic excellence. Boasting a rich tapestry of students from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, the school cultivates an inclusive environment that celebrates differences. With robust student resources, Montgomery Blair ensures every student has access to quality education, fostering intellectual growth and personal development. The school's commitment extends beyond the classroom, with a plethora of clubs catering to a wide array of interests. From STEM-focused groups to arts and culture clubs, students are provided with numerous opportunities for exploration and collaboration, creating a dynamic and enriching high school experience.
I enjoyed my time at Montgomery Blair High School. I was a 3 sport athlete playing football, track & field, and basketball. I made countless memories and made bonds that I will never forget or lose due to playing football. Besides athletics I was close with my all my teachers, but I made a special bond with my math teacher I met my sophomore year. Her name is Ms. Cole and I will never forget about her, from her helping with schoolwork, being someone to talk to daily, always able to crack jokes with, she changed my high school experience for the better. Possibly the only bad experience I’ve had at Blair is the food. After my sophomore year I started bringing my own school to lunch, due to the food being bad for my health. Other than that there is nothing I would change from my High School.
Blair is a really great place to meet new people from many different cultures and backgrounds. One thing about Blair is regardless they put the students first, whether it's their education and or their well being in general. I couldn’t imagine not being a blazer.
I had a good experience at Blair. I am in the CAP program at Blair, and I think that despite some diversity issues, it is a great program that is setting me up for success in the future. Not only does it give me access to arts classes that I wouldn't have considered taking before, but it also improves my reading and writing abilities beyond the average student. Outside of CAP, Blair offers countless interesting electives and courses for all academic levels. The school offers APs that most schools do not. The school is among the most diverse in the state.
Blair is such a big school so there are so many unique opportunities. There are clubs for just about any interest and so much diversity.
As the largest school in Maryland, it has its fair share of problems. However, a high diversity rate and student engagement levels make it a super fun school. They have a broad range of classes and the teachers are for the most part fantastic. It needs to work on absenteeism and communication with the student body, and they should gain greater perspective from students in order to improve the school.
