My experience would be the same if not different as anyone would give advice about there school. It's what you make it. My best part is being active in the things the school presents. Since I am a grad of 23', Since coming back from quarantine transitioning 9th-11th, our class stuck together and made it our own job to have fun. The not so best part is the teachers and staff they choose and the care some people take into the building. It is old but sometimes it effected our health safety in the school making the school district to help us build a new building. Not all teachers are the same but some aren't as always connected to their class as some teachers should be. (But thats a personal preference.) But when it came to emergencies the school is on it! Covid rules were definitely enforced and followed. Overall I would say I had a good 4 years of creating a community, learning, and growing in experience. DHHS is a school that has been a pleasant experience to me.
My experience at DHHS has been pleasant. My teacher’s truly care about my future and education and go out of their way for me to succeed. By this, I mean when I ask for help, they deliver without hesitation. Even when they are off the clock, they still email me back within minutes. It’s great to feel like I matter within my school and it helps motivate me academically. I also am the tennis captain at my school and in a multitude of clubs. The notable one being NHHS. We do a lot of community service events such as 5Ks and fun runs (for little kids). The bad parts of the school are the establishments itself. The bathrooms are horrendous. Half the time (being 100% honest) are out of order. The majority of the time there are no paper towels as well. There is black mold on the ceilings and in the bathrooms locker rooms, and some classrooms. The faculty and staff are great but not so much the establishment. I wish the establishment itself was nicer and less disgusting.
It's overall a fine school. Not great, not horrible. Because its a historical site the main building can't be rebuilt so it has an ntense smell that isn't super nice but people are kind and the teachers are ok.
