-Carmena Faison, Newport News, VA. Mother of Derek Faison (Winoma), Aurora; Frankie Faison (Jane), Mt. Claire, NJ; David Virgil, Baltimore, MD; Mary Stephens (Luke), Newport News, VA; and Sharon Faison-Smith (Charles), Washington, DC; also survived by three sisters, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Services Saturday 12:00, Shorter Community AME Church, 3100 Richard Allen Ct. Visitation will be from 10:30-12:00 on the day of service only. Services will conclude at the church. Family at 3896 So. Dawson St., Aurora.

HI SHARON. THIS IS SYLVIA LYNCH MALLICOTT..BEEN A LONG TIME. MY BROTHER, ROLAND, HEARD ABOUT YOUR MOM. I WAS SO SAD TO HEAR OF HER PASSING. I REMEMBER HER AS A STRONG, SWEET SPIRIT. I ALSO REMEMBER THAT WHEN MY MOM WAS SICK AND HOSPITALIZED IN DIXIE HOSPITAL, YOUR MOTHER WAS THE NURSE/ANGEL THAT LOOKED AFTER HER. SHE ALSO HELPED ME SNEAK IN TO SEE MOM SINCE I WAS NOT OLD ENOUGH! MY MOTHER ALWAYS SPOKE SO FONDLY OF YOUR MOTHER'S DEDICATION AND KINDNESS TOWARD HER. PLEASE REST IN KNOWING THAT SHE TOUCHED SO MANY IN SUCH A SPECIAL WAY. I SHALL NEVER FORGET HER.
