My current setup is this:

Knife as melee weapon (will use sword when I unlock it)

Throwables: Throwing knife, snapshot grenade

Perks: Tracker, Strong arm, Fast hands, Ghost

Equipment: dead silence (which apparently is refreshed with a throwing knife kill, I've read)
I am running round the map following footprints and stabbing people. This setup reminds me very much of the 'tactical knife + deagle' setup in the old MW2, which had a sort of Halo energy sword effect.
Is there anything else my 'ninja' build is missing?
By the way - two excellent things I've just learnt:

Having the throwing knife equipped gives you the old-skool knife animation when you do a melee attack (even with a gun equipped).

You can change hit marker SFX to 'classic' and hear the sound it made back in old MW2!

Double time maybe?
Perks should be - double time, tracker, cold blooded, ghost Field upgrade - dead silence
I recommend you take the snapshot grenade off, if you throw it people will know you’re coming….
I know this comment is 7 months old, but I agree. They should swap out snapshot grenade with stun/smoke grenade.

Me personally ik this comment is old but like i run ninja style every game i love melee and stealth but i run karambit for close range or dual kodachis and wit a throwing knife or throwing stars and for perks i would run strong arm mountaineer for chasing and quick escape and resupply and shrouded especially if you have a self revive it just makes the downed escape so much cooler bc to be the hunter you sometimes have to become the hunted. Hopefully this works out for you.
