I entered Los Olas from the City side having just alighted the water taxi. I was very impressed with the choice of local shopping and restaurants (and The Cheesecake Factory which is my favourite chain restaurant in US). I took a very pleasant walk down the main shopping area.

The historical society is comprised of a few buildings, although only one is open to the public. It contains a film about the history of the area as well as a few comprehensive exhibits. The staff I encountered were extremely friendly. Recommended for history buffs such as myself.

It was very interesting to learn about this place. Bonnet House is so different. Our tourguide did a great job. We especially loved seeing the Dade pine.

First visit since Park & Ocean closed. We did rent umbrella and chairs. The chairs were an upgrade from before but the umbrella was terrible. Very small and flimsy… need to invest in better umbrellas if you are going to charge for them. The beach area is nice and clean. Bathrooms clean. Cold water available. For $6 car admission it’s a wonderful bargain.

This is a nice beach. Overall there’s nothing special about it. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon and found parking right across the street. The beach was quiet and serene.

Water taxi was very informative and had a great time getting off and eating/drinking.
My wife and I also went parasailing, with So Flo parasailing. They were great!
Favorite place to eat while we were there was Coconuts! Fantastic food! Rocco’s Tacos was very good also!

Just walk for awhile, sit on the benches and enjoy the scenery. The people watching is good, the dog watching is better, and the yacht watching is amazing.
This goes for quite a distance so it really doesn't matter where you stop and start. The bridges provide crossover opportunities as long as the drawbridge is not up.
Mostly residential along the sides with few restaurants.

It certainly helped that we were the only ship in port this day, so no traffic and no crowds. The terminal was functional and the staff were nice. We were on board in 30 minutes. And there are some nice Florida views from the ship.

You can enjoy classical music by The Symphony of the Americas, or pop covers from “The Piano guys”, family plays like Peter and the star catcher or the all time Christmas Classic The Nutcracker.

Pretty Beach, but parking was horrible. We got a $25 ticket because we didn't see a sign that was hidden by a truck. We even asked the attendant if it was OK to park there and he said sure. Boy, we were so mad when we saw the ticket. I think it was a scam.
