Poco's masterwork right here. The title track - an ode to Gram Parsons, who may have still been alive at the time of this release - plays as if picking up where Buffalo Springfield's 'Bluebird' left off. Play this after the 3rd Flying Burrito Bros. album. Hilariously, 'Magnolia' is credited to John Cale! A mistake for sure, but most of Side 2, 'Here We Go Again', and the cover of 'Brass Buttons' could be an LA Cowboy counterpart to John Cale's Vintage Violence or Paris 1919 for all it's symphonic languor. High regard for these guys, but little critical acclaim. Which is too bad, they are excellent LA Cowboy country rock. referencing Crazy Eyes (LP, Album) EPC 65631

Poco is an American country rock band founded in 1968 after the breakup of Buffalo Springfield. The band is seen as the pioneer for the country-rock that inspired bands such as The Eagles. Poco is the first band that this sound is heard on the LP. However they have never had the success, that The Eagles had later.
The first occupation existed next to the old Buffalo Springfield members singer and rhythm guitarist Richie Roe and Jim Messina (lead guitar and vocals) from Rusty Young, (steel guitar and dobro), George Grantham (drums and vocals) and Randy Meisner (bass and vocals). The latter left the band before the release of the first LP, Pickin'up the pieces. He will help the group after some sidetracks The Eagles; Timothy b. Schmit succeeded him. The albums Poco Deliverin' (1971) and (1972) followed in this occupation, then mid-October 1972 Messina left the band with Kenny Loggins the duo Loggins & Messina. Paul Cotton succeeded him and brought some more rock and roll. The following three Lps "From the inside", "A good feelin' to know" and "Crazy Eyes" had appeared when Roe beginning 1974, disappointed in the success, left the band in Souther Hillman and Roe Band on scuba diving and finally who hit to score where he so desired.
