The current Winnipeg Jets originate back to the Atlanta Thrashers, which joined the league during the 1999 Expansion. The Thrashers struggled during their existence with only one postseason appearance in 12 seasons. Following the 2010-11 season, they relocated to Winnipeg to bring back the Jets franchise name. The Jets have had moderate success since relocating with six postseason appearances in 12 seasons.
