Pete Best Net Worth & Bio/Wiki 2018: Facts Which You Must To Know!
Randolph Peter “Pete” Best (born 24 November 1941) is a British musician, mostly called the first frequent drummer in the Beatles. He was born in the town of Madras, then part of British India. After Best’s mom, Mona Best (1924–1988), moved to Liverpool in 1945, she started The Casbah Coffee Club in the basement of the Bests’ house in Liverpool. The Beatles (at the time called the Quarrymen) played a few of their first concerts in the nightclub. After working in several commercially unsuccessful groups Best gave up the music business to work as a civil servant for 20 years, before beginning the Pete Best Band. He’s been married for more than 50 years to Kathy Best; they got two daughters and four grandchildren.

{When asked why he was fired from The Beatles} "Oh, I don't really know to this day. I was told they wanted a better drummer, I was anti-social, they didn't like my hair, but it is still very much a gray area and the reasons don't hold water".

You know, Brian Epstein, Stu, John Lennon and George Harrison are all gone. I am still in love with the woman I married 42 years ago. I have two beautiful daughters and four wonderful grandkids and a band I love making music with. As long as I have my health, I'm just going to keep on going.

(when asked in the late 1970s who was the better drummer, Ringo Starr or himself) "I am."

In the wake of The Beatles' success, Best was signed to a recording deal on his own, resulting in the dubiously-titled LP "Best Of The Beatles" (a reference to his former band). The album went nowhere, and Best gave up his music career, first becoming a baker, then later a civil servant.
6
When he was first let go from The Beatles, manager Brian Epstein offered to put a new group together showcasing Best. Finding this more difficult than expected, Epstein finally pulled some strings with another Liverpool band's manager, who invited Best to join them.
7
Besides his lack of "chops" as a drummer, the other reason cited for Best's firing from The Beatles was that he'd never tried to fit in as a member of the group; while the other members frequently spent their free time together, Best usually went off on his own, even sitting alone during their breaks between sets. He'd also kept his same duck-tail hairstyle, when the band decided to adopt the "Beatle cut".

Belatedly shared in The Beatles' success without him, when early recordings featuring Best on drums were included in 1995's "The Beatles Anthology"; Best's share of the royalties was projected at over $1 million.
