Danny Boyle and actress Rosario Dawson's relationship is well and truly over. The pair were reported to be icily ignoring each other at a recent press panel for their latest film Trance.

According to US Weekly, the pair who began dating after meeting on the set of Boyle's film have called it a day.

Danny Boyle never went on the record to confirm his relationship only ever saying that he liked her lack of vanity.

Dawson though couldn't stop herself from gushing about her new boyfriend, telling Access Hollywood "from the outside it looks like there's a lot of dissimilarities, but we actually have a lot in common. We're really similar people. He's a very kind man."

She also explained that it was her who made the first move! "It was just one of those things where we were going to just go our separate ways had someone not said something," Dawson said.

However things seemed to fall apart recently and onlookers were shocked to see how the Hollywood couple behaved towards each other at a conference for Trance held in L.A over the weekend.

An onlooker told Us magazine "He (Boyle) was talking to a group of people when she arrived and it was awkward -- like a cold greeting, no hug, and they got through it as quickly as possible."

Another source added "Rosario and Danny didn't interact during interviews," the source says. "It was pretty obvious they're no longer a couple."

Ouch! That sounds like a pretty bad break-up!

Trance, which also stars James McAvoy, tells the story of an art auctioneer who becomes mixed up with a hypnotherapist and a gang of criminals in order to find a lost painting.

The film is out in UK cinemas on March 27.
