Bait and switch Holyoke mall

Bait and switch Holyoke mall
Pulled me and sister aside and did the demo. Claimed it doesn't use heat, and only takes 15 minutes etc. Got home after purchasing it definitely uses heat and it took more than 30 minutes multiple passes through unlike the demo product.

Wish I could give a 0!!!!!

Very upset and disappointed into the purchase I made from the mall! Nothing like what was demonstrated! It pulled some of my already thin hair and it didn't come out anything at all like it was at the mall. I was not ever informed of a no refund policy until I looked at my receipt. There should be a class action against this company for how these workers make you feel, buyers' remorse and scamming people.
He not only got me on one straightener, but 2, the brush, the hairdryer and the hair extension!!!!! So let's say, being my husband is a military Veteran and we are on a fixed income, which I stated to this guy, he kept pushing. He even had my 13 year old daughter feeling the same way.
Now I don't ever want to go to the mall again, but I will be contacting the BBB along with an attorney, as I wrote an e-mail and have had nothing back. I have been in tears all night, this was a lot of money for junk and how I ended my birthday!

Complete Scam sales people lied lied lied!

Bought in the mall after they styled my daughters hair. It worked well at the mall and the man said it could be used on wet or dry hair, which once you look at the instructions YOU CAN NOT! He said it doesn't use heat IT TOTALLY DOES! Will be returning tomorrow to get my over $400 back. My 13 year old spent her own hard earned money, how dare you scam a CHILD! This is absolutely appalling. They showed her one set of instructions which are completely different from the instructions in the box. This company needs to be put out of business preying on teens in the mall, charging them a fortune for a straightener which is JUST A STRAIGHTENER!

Crap product and scammers

Total scam, in one mall they charged me 160 for the pro glider and in another 100 for the same one then I wanted to change one for the curler because it didn’t even heat up and they charged me $250 for curler even though it’s $150 on the website and I saw the girls added a $50 commission to each on the computer. They have no morals and just try to take advantage of people it’s disgusting.

Don't buy Straight Ahead products at EXPRESS BEAUTY LLC kiosk

I purchased a Straight Ahead flat iron today from BEAUTY EXPRESS LLC kiosk at the Holyoke Mall in Holyoke Ma. Just like everyone else, I got sucked into buying this item. The only difference is, I genuinely thought the girl who did my hair and was talking to me actually cared. We connected and she made me smile because my hair looked amazing. And she offered to give me a discount, and then another one. The price went from $370, but there was a sale for the Jewish holiday they just had. (There was a Jewish Holiday last month and next month, none this month). So the price was $199, BUT she can give me her hairdressers discount and get it down to $99. Sounds very similar to the many reviews on Trust Pilot and BBB after fact. But it's $50 charge for the lifetime warranty that you HAVE to pay for (I should have known better that the product comes with a lifetime warranty and it is not separated charged if the box already offers it). I'm presuming that that $50 was her commission. I take it home, and re-try it out for myself. Cheap plastic tool is what I got. It rips your hair out, and NOTHING like the one she used to demonstrate on me at the kiosk. I don't know if they truly think they are the same and are being lied to as well.... but. Also, I didn't find out about their NO RETURN policy until I got home and looked at my receipt. I called the number on the receipt, a location in Burlington Ma. A woman answers the phone with "yeah?". I thought I had the wrong number. Apparently I didn't and she was the owner of EXPRESS BEAUTY LLC. She was very unprofessional and became argumentative very quickly, and the passed my number down to the employee who worked with me today and had her call me at 9pm to question me if I remember her telling me no returns and there were signs. If I was properly informed, I wouldn't be complaining about it. What a waste of $150. What a SCAM!

SCAM

Me and my friend are both minors (17 and 16). A man named leo stopped us by saying "excuse me you dropped your smiles." We were confused because we thought we had actually dropped something. It was hard to understand him because of his thick Italian accent. He started talking us up, asking our ages and names and we couldn't leave. He made us feel very uncomfortable and scared. He grabbed my hand and pulled me over to his seat and started putting some type of hair serum in my hair. He started using a brush that he said was heatless and then styled my hair in a couple of different ways. He made my friend "judge" my hair and kept making her get closer to him. She was uncomfortable. He said if we bought just the over priced hair cream, he would give us the hair comb and brush for free as a "gift". We tried to say no but he was very persistent. He wouldn't let me get out of the chair until I agreed to buy something. We bought it just so we could leave. The hair serum alone was $130. When we got out of the situation, we realised how messed up it was. We went to return the items. We still have the receipt and the same card we used to purchase the hair serum. It had only been 30 minutes, so the products hadn't even been opened. He pointed to a no refund sign and refused to take it back. The no refund sign was pointed down at an angle to the point where we couldn't even see the words, and we are both short. When we got home, I tried it and it was absolute crap. It was not a good product and was heated when he clearly stated that it was heatless. We want our money back. From what we have seen from other reviews, he seemed to target young girls. If you got to castleton mall and you come across an Italian man with blue eyes named Leo, don't even sit down because he will force you to buy the product. Stay safe, ladies!

Don’t fall for this SCAM!!!!

The flat iron is horrible and nothing like the rep in the mall stated. He used one iron to style my daughter’s hair and it turned out beautiful, but the one we were sent home with was junk. He advised it was heartless and can be used on wet or dry hair, but that was also a lie. I used the serum on her hair and the results are still the same. I shoulda just bought another babyliss. I want a full refund or I will be contacting a lawyer and the BBB.

Piece of Junk

I was at Castleton mall and was stopped by a guy named Leo, he was Italian. He pulled me to the seat. He used the comb thingy, and styled my hair, it looked nice, but when he was done. I told him I wanted to come back and think on it due to the price. But he wouldn't let me leave the seat. I bought it so I could just leave. I tried it once I got home. IT IS JUNK!!!!! I want my money back! I am going to fight to get my money refunded to me.

they literally tried scamming me at the mall. (Didn’t buy product) they continuously lowered the price from $300 to $80 clearly a scam, the website shows only good reviews and none of the actual reviews. Do not fall for this. Red flags I noticed is that they try telling you how expensive it is and then continuously discount it to make you think it’s cheap but it’s not it’s just cheaper compared to $300

They took advantage of my disability

I have diagnosed PTSD and a big fear of men. I don’t usually go out alone but I went to the mall this time and this guy was very pushy to get me to sit in his chair so he could show me his product. I tried to leave and say no nicely but it wasn’t working. He did half of my hair so at that point I couldn’t really leave. He pushed me to make 2 separate purchases, im a social worker and I don’t make a lot. I told him that.
I tried to go back and give them to him and but of course there are no refunds.
The customer service team didn’t answer the phone and I am just so upset.
Imagine having your disability taken advantage of to make a purchase?

Buyer BEWARE!!

As with all the other reviews on here, I was scammed yesterday at the mall! It's really sad that these people take advantage of someone who has been in a car accident that literally shattered my face and has low self esteem as it is! I live on disability and I told him that, but he wouldn't take no for an answer! Just kept lowering the price on it,which is total bs...I saw the same damn tool on Amazon for 59 bucks!! He just kept complementing me and my hair and just wouldn't take no for an answer!!! I had instant buyers remorse, not even realizing I couldn't return it until I got home... that's so sh1tty to do to someone...screwed over yet again 😫

Wish I read these reviews before I bought— I was told the product didn’t use heat. When I got home it was clearly just an ordinary straightener with heat. Very disappointed and reaching out to the manufacturer now. I don’t understand how they can get away with clearly false advertising.

I love the hair serum the most!

Honestly my sister did not like the hair straightener they had and gave it to me and I used to collect the little package serum and became obsessed with it, with the oil and the hair straight it really made my hair look naturally straight! No poof or square head (I have curly hair like 3a/3b)

I feel robbed.

I have severe panic disorder. The lady came up to me at the mall, wouldn'tleave me alone. I have terribly anxiety and couldn't say no, so I said sure you can do my hair. She kept complimenting me and I was trying to stay calm. I felt so beyond pressured. She kept lowering the price. Like I haven't used a hair straightner in years! The product she used on me is not what i paid for! $100 that I need to buy groceries becouse I couldn't say no. Definitely didn't want or need this but with the way she kept complimenting me and pressuring I couldn't say no. Now I cant afford what I needed to pay. This was in the university mall in VT. Beware, they'll take money you don't have. Don't let them take advantage of your anxiety. They are predators.

.I wish I would have looked at the reviews 1st. The 1 we came home with definitely isn't what they used on my daughter's hair. Paid $180 and it's not terrible. It actually does heat up really hot and works really good, it's just not what we thought we were bringing home. So I urge people 2compare the 1 they r giving u 2the 1 they use b4 u buy. I'm not really mad just disappointed in the company that has their name on this product and they are ok with these sales people not giving paying customers what they thought they paid 4.
