This thesis explored the wider theoretical and creative potential of HAlA 'ne Cixous' concept of Acriture faminine. Drawing on an analysis of poetics, it found that Cixous' writing interweaves masculine and feminine poetic elements to manifest her original contention that Acriture faminine is about inclusivity, not the usurpation of the masculine by the feminine.
