I love Provo High School! We have a bright and inviting community and school culture. We have a wide diversity of students which is really nice especially for a minority student like myself. One of my favorite things about Provo High is our Homecoming parade. We have a whole week of dress-ups and activities in our school, then an assembly on Thursday where the royalty is revealed and everyone gets riled up for the game on Friday. On Friday before the game, we have a parade that involves our whole community from elementary students to our own teachers. On Saturday, us students in high school go and enjoy the Homecoming dance! This particular week is a highlight at our school!
I think that in the Pros aspect of the School, I enjoyed that there is a lot of resources to be able to prepare for college. There are college and career days to learn more about schools and different Career fields. There is also pathways to be able to complete college credit while being in the school like I myself completed 46 college credits. I think a con would be that I feel like a lot of the teachers overload you with homework even though we have other classes and they also show a bit of favoritism to the outgoing active students in class.
Overall, my experience with Provo High School was very positive! I transferred from another school, and was accepted by others quickly! I received a lot of support by teachers, student body officers, and team mates from the soccer team! This school has a very accepting atmosphere which makes learning better! The worst part of my experience was some students decided to do drugs often in the bathrooms, but it was handled.
