Oak Creek High School Reviews
Rating 3.75 out of 5 463 reviews
While Oak Creek Creek High School does have its share of outstanding programs such as the music and athletic programs there are aspects from the school that are slightly lacking. Some classes, especially the lower level ones aren't taken seriously and don't fully prepare students for their future outside of high school. Regardless as a whole Oak Creek High is a great school where the average student has a variety of options in activities and clubs to be involved in. It sets up the average student for post high school education well and its outmoding in its preparation for students going into trades.
Some after school clubs and activities had been cut during my time there because the school didn't want to fund them, but they will give money to the football teams for uniforms and equipment. Put more money towards the clubs that have majority of the typical students instead of the sports that are selective and not everyone benefits from.
I used to go to a different High School, Greenfield High School, and it was very different to Oak Creek. Greenfield had staff that truly did not care for their students. And I quote from a teacher I had "Even if I wanted to let you use the bathroom, you can't, Jayda is out". He refused my human rights to use the bathroom. This is not the main issue with this teacher, he has repeatedly humiliated his students by laughing at their questions or just brushing it off as "are you serious", constantly gave us attitude and spoke to us like we were toddlers with no knowledge of the world. My guardian had emailed the principle multiple times about this teacher and no response was sent back. This is only one teacher out of multiple instances. Oak Creek High School has welcomed me with open arms and nothing other than respect. The teachers here care for their students as if they were their own. I've had nothing but great experiences here at Oak Creek High School.
