- dnana i5 contributionsOne of the most unique and personalised experiences. Kudos to the Shuklas, who are doing a great job in sharing and spreading information about the region, history and traditions. They are a treasure trove of information since every single thing has a personal involvement - in collecting it, or creating it. They deserve all the recognition they have got, and wish them more success. Definitely a MUST VISIT attraction in the region, and a gem.Written 12 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - arvind1000Pune, India2,727 contributionsA scenic spot where on a clear day you can see the snow capped Himalayan range. We were not so fortunate. Non the less it is nice place to visit while on a day trip to Landour and have coffee or Thupka at one of the restaurants here. We visited Savoy Cafe which has great views from the top floor and had a chicken thupka while we enjoyed the view . Both were worth it.Written 5 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- dnana i5 contributionsVery professional setup that provides an incredible hiking experience. Be sure to contact the people mentioned on the website, so that they can arrange the guides - for first times, recommend going with a guide like we did. The hikes are relatively easy, and kid friendly too. Spotting birds, butterflies, animal droppings, trees and hillside views, or just breathing in the pure air - there is something for everyone.Written 12 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy_JSRJamshedpur, India2,044 contributionsLocated in the heart of Mussoorie, the Camel’s Back Road is around 3 km long road lined with natural rocks shaped like a camel's hump. Camel Back Road provides experience of peaceful walk with nature. However, in morning and evening, the road becomes little bit busy. The road is named as Camel Back Road due to the presence of natural layout of rocks shaped like a camels hump at the end of road. It offers beautiful view of Doon Valley, also popular for viewing sunrise and sunset.Written 28 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dilip Das13 contributionsThe area of Kempty falls is polluted by the stalls and shops. People have murder the natural falls. Now it looks like water is falling inside a pond or pool. Shops are constricted very close to the water body. Lots of thrash and plastic bottles are floating. Being a waterfall lover was felling very sad to see the commercial Kempty falls. I think Local authorities should impose some guide lines and people should come forward to save the Kempty waterfall.Written 14 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - arvind1000Pune, India2,727 contributionsWe enjoyed a walk through Happy Valley from the Library on Mall Road, which is about 3 km but reasonably pleasant walk in the evening though in some stretches you may have navigate busy traffic in the early part of the walk. This walk was via the Lal Bahadur National Academy of Administration up to the Tibetan settlement where the Dalai Lama fist came when we he first escaped from Tibet to India before eventually moving to Dharamshala. The sensibly steep “last mile” climb to a Buddha statue at the top of the hill which has great views. Also worth visiting is Buddhist Monastery .Written 5 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- arvind1000Pune, India2,727 contributionsThis is nice day visit on your Mussoorie visit. It is a Cantonment town at one end of Mussoorie. Its charm is it quiet serene atmosphere , almost caught in an old colonial time warp with 4 shops and old bakehouse ( now modernised) and two churches. There aren’t many hotels here and mostly home stays . Maybe on my next visit will stay here away from the hustle and bustle of Mussoorie.Written 5 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HofH999Melbourne, Australia1,167 contributionsWe didn’t find the house the remains of which no longer exist we were told but we enjoyed the museum of cartography recently opened to commemorate Everest’s work as Survey General and others. The walk up from the car park is challenging but very beautiful. The view from the top looking north is great but to the south you see nothing due to pollution.Written 21 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - joyadakKolkata (Calcutta), India13 contributionsBeautiful place at the foot of Dalai Hills. A vibrant little monastry/ temple where the locals offer prayers. Has a very tranquil environment. one can get a look into the lives of the Tibetan community that it belongs to. Moneys around the areas looked menacing though !Written 8 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ravi Pratap Singh ChauhanNew Delhi, India412 contributionsThis is not a very visited fall as it's a bit small but has a lot of activity that can be done here. A place definitely to spend some time instead of Kempty which is dirty
