My overall experience at Langston University has been pretty good thus far. My freshmen year felt like it happened so fast, but once I settled in, I enjoyed the first-time student-athlete experience a lot even with some of the bumps along the way but once the final semester was over, I was really excited to come back for my sophomore year. I can admit that this year has been a lot more stressful and in my first semester I really was dealing with a lot physically and mentally. This final semester that I am currently in has been better for the most part and I am gearing up to finish out my second-year strong heading into the summer.
Despite its small campus size, Langston University holds a special place in my heart. While the food may not be the highlight, the vibrant student life and plethora of campus activities create an atmosphere that fosters personal and academic growth.
The intimate nature of Langston's small campus has its advantages. It fosters a sense of community, allowing students to form close-knit relationships with both peers and faculty. The smaller class sizes provide more personalized attention, facilitating a deeper understanding of course materials and encouraging meaningful interactions with professors.
Now, let's talk about the food. While it might not be considered a culinary haven, the challenges with the dining options are often outweighed by the sense of camaraderie that develops among students.

Throughout my experience at Langston University, the student life when it comes to academics and living is very open and for me personally I’d say comfortable. However, there is room to expand interest with Langstons options in majors and minors. As a business management student, my experience with classes were pleasant and the professors are available at all times when it comes to helping on something for class or just being open to connecting with their students to make them feel more comfortable. Coming to Langston as a Hispanic was also a concern for me, but being here for almost 2 years there has not been issues with feeling comfortable and receiving the education I am here for. Distance did not concern me after my most recent year of being on campus. The environment and living situation for everyone on campus is organized but does have room to grow in that aspect. I do plan on staying at Langston University for the rest of my years in college and experiencing the HBCU experience.
