Embracing Imperfect Love

Hello, my Love, here's a poem again takes flight,
It was woven from the tapestry of our shared light.
Beneath the stars there is a saga unfolds,
Love's resilience is a tale of courage must told.

In the middle of us there is  a vivid tale,
Through storms and challenges, sure, our love set sail!
Side by side... and against the scornful stares,
Together, we weathered, no soul declares!

With books in hand, our journey wide,
Through life's tumult, our love defied.
True friends emerged, their strength untold,
Navigating life's strands, a tale to be told.

Temptations beckoned is sought to sever,
Yet, his good heart is my anchor forever.
With  forgiveness, our love soared high,
Guiding us through the darkest sky.

Apart but entwined, our souls in sync,
Resilient love! I can say no break or chink!
Through mistakes, forgiveness shines,
In love's embrace, our spirits align.

True friends stood firm, a steadfast flame,
Nurturing love, fanning passion's flame.
Faith in God is our guiding light,
Strengthening us, day and night.

With our five children, our foundation strong,
Building a legacy where love belongs.
Each child a testament of a living proof,
That love endures, with time's every woof.

As we part again, our distance, yes it may weave,
But promises etched, in love, we believe.
Cherishing the good and dismissing despair,
Our love declared as unyielding and rare.

Hand in hand, through temporal space,
Let our love endures, what a timeless embrace.
In echoes of imperfect love that touched by grace,
Our story unfolds, leaving an indelible trace.

To others who face their trials and strife,
May our journey inspire, kindle hope in life.
For love, forgiveness, and faith in each other,
Can build a foundation, resilient as a mother.

Through the highs and lows, even in the joy and pain,
Our love's testament is  an enduring refrain.
In the symphony of life, may our tale prove,
That imperfect love is a treasure to behoove.

Connie Coy - luv how the five children bit slips into the middle so that the man is already up to his neck into the poem and cannot run away
