What travelers are saying
- Gigi C7 contributionsGreat tour of the mansion and grounds. The docents were so friendly and helpful (shout out to Beth especially), they answered all our questions with such enthusiasm and patience, they almost made history come alive. The house has so many interesting features (they certainly love their bathrooms and bathtubs!). We've toured other historic houses like in Newport where everything and everyone is so stand offish but here, we just felt so welcomed, we could even sit in some of the furniture. Of all the gardens, the Italian garden is the most updated, beautiful view from the 2nd floor bedroom. The Japanese garden with its historic teahouse is also fascinating. With more funding, am sure this garden could be made to truly shine. Be sure to also check out the lovely stained glass mural at the wine shop.Written June 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - amusementparkguy1104 contributionsFor people who love to see a part of history, this is definitely one to visit. The house and other buildings are well-kept. The employees are knowledgeable about the house and those who lived in it. It's a must do for people traveling in this area.Written August 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nancy SBoston, MA333 contributionsWe loved this place. Great beer, fun atmosphere and a tasty flatbread pizza. We came here twice in two days. We loved the option of outdoor seating.Written April 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Jim FCape May Court House, NJ5 contributionsExcellent selection of beers. Bartender was amiable, informative, and made my wife and I feel like home. The Russian Imperial Stout in Basil Hayden barrel was outstanding!Written November 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DownEast47Finger Lakes, NY208 contributionsIn mid-Jan 2024 we enjoyed wine tasting at the Heron Hill Tasting Room on Canandaigua Lake. It was during their January free wine tasting promotion event. Cindy was an excellent hostess and did a great job explaining our wine choices. I've been to this tasting room on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed it. Of course I couldn't leave without purchasing wine!! Check out their Eclipse ~ which they offer in both red and white; this trip I purchased the white Eclipse. And it's not just for the upcoming eclipse event in Apr 2024 ... their Eclipse is available year-round!
Be sure to visit them when you're in the Canandaigua / Finger Lakes area!Written March 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I like the longer runs with decent vertical drop for a ski resort in the fingerlike area. Unfortunately the Comet trail is reserved for races and tends to not be open to the public during the day. This makes the lift price not so good value. There was a bottle filling station but no drinking fountain. Decent food options. I bought a hamburger it came with fries, $12.36 - for what it's worth. The resort does not take Amex.Written March 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BritLitCanandaigua59 contributionsThis rating would be a 5 if not for one thing: outside food and drink are not allowed in. Bring a family? No picnic for you! Thirsty? Have a bottle of water for THREE dollars. We don’t mind paying the (rather high)admission price, but to be charged such exorbitant rates for lunch and water is needless. That said, the rides are awesome and the kids absolutely love it. Lots of lounge chairs available, as well as lockers. And there’s a great splash area for the little ones. Have a big breakfast before you go!Written June 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Chuck C1 contributionI have been to CMAC a number of times (at least 5) and the parking situation is horrible. Pay for the upgraded parking close by OR be ready for a very long. Wait to exit and wait and wait. As for the venue, it is nice environment with lawn views and covered seats. The last concert I went to was Barenaked Ladies opening for Darius Rucker. Ed Robertson was horrible so I believe that the sound mixer incorrectly sound set up the board or the speakers were damaged. Darius Rucker came out and sang like an angel with the same set up. I was so disappointed that I will not see BNL again without Stephen Page .
We will be going back this summer to see John Fogerty and I begged my wife to purchase the upgraded parking option, or to skip the concert altogether . I love the venue, but the travel in and out is terrible. Be prepared for a long walk from private parking and time your arrival accordinglyWritten May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We stop by during all times of day, and simply relax and enjoy the unequaled beauty. Always the best place to take a Scoops treat!Written September 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stephen CWellsville, NY64 contributionsWe went to the market on a cool rainy Saturday morning, but we were glad we did. It was under a long pavilion-style roof a half block east of Main Street with over 20 different vendors. The produce and products were plentiful and reasonably priced. What a great find!Written November 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
